Hello friends!

A few days ago I shared this publication: Windows Close, Wells Fargo Eliminates Access To Zelle To Customers With Accounts Based In Venezuela. where I informed you of Wells Fargo's decision to close access to Zelle of accounts domiciled in Venezuela, indicating that this action represents a delay for our country and a limitation on financial freedoms for all users who They use this service for payments, receive remittances from abroad, etc.

Today the news is different, this week it was revealed that SUDEBAN, the governing body for banking institutions in Venezuela, authorized the use of Shasta App, an application that allows users to transact in foreign currencies from different countries.

Shasta App

It is an application developed in Spain since 2018, this financial tool can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play.

The company is empowered through this authorization to issue national and international cards legally in Venezuela, allowing users to make currency exchanges from the comfort of their cell phone. The measure will benefit all those users who do not have bank accounts in international currencies, only with the affiliation of their bank accounts in national currency, which represents a great option for a large number of Venezuelans.

The use of the application with the due process of verification guarantees the user access to an international Visa or Master card, plus the assignment of a QR code through which they can move their funds, as well as access the network of market that support payment with this tool.

The developer minds behind this application are the Spanish Alex Sicart and the Venezuelan entrepreneur Leonardo Montbrun, who expressed their satisfaction with the expansion the company is having and its access to Latin American territory.

"When we developed this application, our business model covered only Europe, after several market studies and evaluating the possibilities of giving international financial tools to our users in another region, we made the right decision to expand our services to Latin America." Leonardo Montbrun comments.

"We are really happy to bring our platform and model to Venezuela. We know that these are difficult times but it is in adversity where growth and success are found and that is what we hope to find with our launch in Venezuela." Expressed the CEO of the company, Alex Sicart.

Conclusions

In addition to representing a very good option to mobilize your funds, the use of the application seems somewhat simple as explained on the website, download the App, register your personal account, confirm your identity with a photo of your ID or passport, enter money by card or transfer, four simple steps that guarantee freedom of movement.

In my opinion, this financial instrument will be very useful for many Venezuelans since it will allow access to currency transactions, mainly dollars and euros, to a number of people in the country who do not have access to a medium such as this, in addition to facilitating payment of purchases in shops.
