If you have too much time at your disposition there has been a very easy way to earn crypto currencies since the first days of bitcoin. There are these websites, called faucets, that give away coins for free. You just need to enter your wallet address, solve a captcha and have a bit of patience with pop up's and banners and you will get some free coins to your wallet.

With faucethub.io gone, faucets had to reinvent themselves

In December 2019 faucethub.io closed its service. Faucethub was a microwallet service that could be used by faucet owners to transfer coins to the users in a very cheap way. Users and faucet owners have accounts on the microwallet service. When claiming from a faucet, the faucet owner send money from his microwallet account to the users microwallet account without passing over the blockchain. Like that even small amounts can be transfered.

When Faucethub closed it was a big problem for faucet owners and faucet users because nothing comparable existed at the time. Many faucet owners stopped their business as a result. Little by little new services began to emerge. I would like to point out 3 new microwallet services that try to fill the void left by faucethub:

WalCrypt

Supports: BTC, ETH, Monero, LTC, Doge, Dash, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash

Among the three this is the service that inspires me least. It has tons of ads, a premium service and also the site doesn't seem very fast. Since for free members only premium faucets are visible, the choice is very limited.

ksWallet

Supports: BTC, DGB, EOS, ETC, LSK, LTC, QTUM, STRAT, ZEC, More coming soon

What I like about kwWallet is that it proposes one single address to claim from all the currencies. This makes it much easier to claim since you only have to paste the same address over and over again. There are quite a lot of supported faucets. Unfortunately there are many pop up's on the microwallet service. It is definitively worth a try.

Faucetpay

BTC, LTC, Doge, ETH, More coming soon

Even though only 4 coins are supported at the moment, faucetpay is my favourite among the new microwallet services. It offers a clean service with little costs. There is an integrated exchange and there are many faucets supported. Thanks to the api that is provided, I managed to create a sortable list with all the faucetpay faucets. There are already several 100 supported faucets that just wait to be claimed from.

Why it's a good moment to claim btc from faucets?

Bitcoin is quite cheap at the moment. Faucet owners often pay users a value to represents a certain amount in usd. A cheap BTC price means you get more satoshis for every claim. I expect prices of btc to rise soon. What you claim now from faucets will be worth much more once prices increase.

When I started to claim from faucets, I could get up to 4000 satoshis with a single claim. Simply because btc prices were low.

When you claim from faucets, the only ressource that you use is your time. If you do it well, you can scale this income in different ways. I've created a free e-mail course that teaches you how you can do that yourself.
