My Thoughts about Hive & Steemit

I'll get straight to the point. These are my impressions about HIVE a few hours after its official launch.

Many things are happening and very fast. Maybe we don't have time, calm and concentration to assimilate all the events in the best way. So I will try to be very punctual so that I can identify each aspect and approach it in the best way. Please, would you share your impressions about the following points?

  1. Tools are needed.

    • We need the equivalent of Steemd. Estabamos acostumbrados a administrar nuestro poder de voto para no llegar a
niveles muy bajos. Entonces necesitamos una herramienta que permita
      monitorearlo.

    • We need the Steemauto equivalent. Curation trails have so far been unable to take off on Hive, due to the lack of
a monitoring tool. As promised, by the time of the fork, all delegation settings
would remain intact, so presumably the trails will continue to function the same
as in steemit. But there is still no tool to verify and manage the votes of the
curation trails. OMG, I miss Steemworld!!!

    • It would be very practical to have the equivalent of Steem Keychain. This tool is not preferred by all users, many still use the steemconnect. I started using Keychain and I liked it. I must not be remembering or copying my
keys every time I go to make a transaction. Currently the version of this tool
has not been developed for Hive. There is the possibility of enabling it through
      the use of the github,
but the procedure is very cumbersome. I prefer to wait for the official launch. (Note: https://hivesigner.com/ is the equivalent of steemconnect.)

2. **Accessing the wallet from the hive.blog interface does not work.** This option tries to access https://hive.io/wallets// but the result is:

Fortunately, wallet can be accessed through https://peakd.com/ Peakd es la versión de Steempeak para Hive.

Anyway... Details are still being fine-tuned, but the blockchain is active and users are using it. It is generating blocks.

Let's talk about money

STEEM value remains stable. Hive isn't on the exchanges yet, but this is a matter of hours. I imagine that HIVE will start with an initial value higher than STEEM, I estimate that it could be around 1 usd.

The value of HIVE will depend on the acceptance of the community.
If users keep their HIVE, and even if they increase their stake, or if instead they will sell it on the exchanges.

Currently there are not many possibilities to trade Hive. But relying on the promise made by @blocktrades in its post, i'm sure this will be fixed soon.

The only exchange that Hive has already listed is IONOMY. You can check this link: https://ionomy.com/en/markets/btc-hive Although in my first impression of this exchange I could notice that the prices it manages are well below the prices that we can see in Coingecko.

We also have the good news that Bittrex will include Hive in the next few hours.

The value of STEEM will depend on the next actions that Justin takes.

There is a possibility that Justin Sun may have bought tons of HIVE. This could give him enough voting power to have a notable influence on Hive. Although the vote for witnesses in Hive, was conditioned to a waiting time of 30 days. This gives current witnesses a margin of protection to prevent further attacks on governance.

Justin's actions will define the future of STEEMIT. Assuming the possibility that it was the witnesses who prevented Justin from expressing himself since his arrival at Steemit. Now, he would have a free way to grow Steemit (Assuming these are his true plans).

But let's analyze these facts:

Recently censorship began to be applied on Steemit. We can verify this with a visit to the blog of @blocktrades through the Steemit interface. All posts disappeared. However you can see them on Steempeak.

These censorship actions are being backed by a legality signal by including new guidelines in the Steemit Terms of Service. https://steemit.com/tos.html

Please take a look at the following point:

14.1.7. Use our services to promote third-party platforms or to promote each other without our written permission.

Based on this, none of us can promote the Hive platform or any other platform on Steemit. Since this would be reason for the total suspension of our account.

Do you think these actions would benefit Steemit's future?

Project Hope Hive

We must stay together.

Project Hope Hive has managed to convey to its subscribers a feeling of brotherhood and family. Mutual support and reciprocity are our flags.

In these times of political and economic alteration that we are experiencing worldwide, it is extremely necessary to strengthen those ties of unity.

In this sense, I would like to invite you to fill out a Google form that I have developed so that we can get to know each other better. The questions are not invasive. They were developed with great respect for You. The option to supply your email address is not mandatory. Statistical results will be published for the domain of all of us.

The idea is to keep in touch and support each other. These are contingency actions that will allow us to reorganize and meet again in the new HIVE Blockchain.
