How To Undelegate HIVE Power ?

One of my friend asked me this question? He had powered up HIVE and delegated huge amount to several communities. He wanted to sell some basically to take benefit of the rocketing HIVE price. I used to use SteemWorld to delegate and undelegated STEEM Power. It was a great GUI. I was searching over internet, but couldn’t find a GUI for undelegation. Yes, delegation is damn easy! All front ends of HIVE like Esteem, Peakd etc. are offering delegation options. But hard to find the undelegation option!

Knowing undelegation process is important. One may delegate HIVE power to someone by mistake also. Everyone can’t crack Python and do the programming. I was struggling to find the way out. I went through some posts regarding delegation and undelegation of Steem. It was difficult to understand the process for HIVE. Finally I cracked this.

Steps to do undelegation:

• Just copy the below mentioned URL: https://hivesigner.com/sign/delegateVestingShares?delegator=youraccount&delegatee=otheraccount&vesting_shares=0.000000%20VESTS
• Replace “youraccount” with your own STEEM username • Replace “otheraccount” with the username which is holding your HIVE power • Now paste the URL in your browser • You’ll be redirected to hivesigner.com. Just confirm your action. Don’t worry. It is safe to use.If you aren't using hivesigner, you need to create your keychain password first by using your HIVE private key.

• Bingo! Your total delegation to that particular user account is removed. It takes 7 days for HIVE power to be available with you after you undelegate.
