Positivity is often in short supply.

There are the exceptions to every rule and having a long term vision is part of this. When you look at each day individually they can often seem terrible and a struggle to overcome and face into the next one. Each day tends to have its bad moments, making it feel like a bad day.

Let’s try a change of approach. Think about the bad moments that you have had today and instead of focusing on that small period of misery and despair. Try to think of those moments over the course of your full week, month or even a year.

When you put it into context and measure those bad moments against everything good that happens over a longer period of time then I would hope to see you come out on the right side of the scales. That over a month you have far more happy times than you do miserable. That over a year you have far more successes than failures.

Perspective is a powerful thing.
So is having the long term vision to keep moving and building when it seems like you are having a terrible time. Over the long term this is just a small struggle on the way to greater success.

The Irish entrepreneur of the year launched his gaming company "Keywords studios" IPO back in 2013 for 65 million dollars. Almost exactly where we are sitting at on @coingecko now. $66M as of writing this.

22 years of the company being in operation and 7 years ago when he took over the company and asked people to believe in his vision.

Years of building and development. Years of building a brand and recognition. Years of building infrastructure and products.

“The business has helped make many of the world's most popular games - from Fortnite, to Clash of Clans, League of Legends, and Assassin's Creed. "The full list of games we have worked on is slightly infinite," says Andrew.
Keywords employs 7,500 people at 59 offices around the world, from Montreal to Tokyo, and in 2019 it had annual revenues of €326.5m ($369m; £295m). Ref:BBC

The business remains under the radar because it doesn't release games under its own name. Instead it is employed by the world's largest gaming companies to help them make their products. It does everything from produce whole games, to parts of them, or handling the transfer from one platform to another, such as making an Xbox game work on a PlayStation.Or it will design and make all the visual aspects of a game, everything you see, such as the characters, the buildings and weapons. says Andrew.

Again a lot of similarities with #hive which in the future will be the backing token for thousands of games, apps, interfaces, trading pairs ect...
But it might not be the most recognizable part. It will be the eco-system that makes it all run and hold the value of its parts but most people might never know that their app is running on hive while they interact with it.

Keywords started out as a small firm in Dublin in 1998 with 50 staff offering translation services to business software. This has grown from those humble beginnings to become the largest providers of video game art in the world, the world's largest provider of games translation services as well as interacting with a lot more aspects of the gaming industry.

As of right now that company is listed at 2.2 Billion dollars with a turnover expected to be 500m this year and aiming for 1 Billion within the next few years.

According to the leadership,

"It has been a rare example of spotting an opportunity, having that vision, then creating a business plan and following it religiously," says Andrew.

Now the real business lesson in here is that nothing will come painlessly or quickly. Our most successful dapp @splinterlands is still a work in progress after a few years with a long way to go before it is even near the finished product. Hive is just getting started and we should be looking at this positively.

As a brand new project we already have the most gaming activity in blockchain. We have the top ranking dapp in the world. We have spotted the opportunity that is given with fast and free transfers.

None of this will come without pain or failures. We have lost apps in the past and we will lose plenty more. These things take time to build a quality product and from there, add marketing and product recognition.

HIVE might never be well recognized but what is built on it can be. They will be the true value over a long period. And make no mistake. This is just the beginning of the industry. It won’t be built over months but years and decades. Too many people are looking for overnight success but it is constant growth and development that will get us there in the end.
Have a plan in place and stick to it religiously.
