Splinterlands: The Blind Show

Hello Splinterlands Fans

Time for the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

For this challenge, I upgraded my BARKING SPIDER to have Blind ability. After a few battles with BARKING SPIDER's Blind ability, I realized that these spiders are indeed underrated. Their Blind ability when properly used can certainly change the outcome of the battle.

Placement and How to Use

BARKING SPIDERS, like all ranged monsters is best suited in the back ranks. In low mana battles it can be placed at one down or last position, where it can evade ranged and melee(Sneak and Opportunity) attacks thanks to the Blind ability.

BARKING SPIDERS's Blind ability works more effectively when applied with other speed related complementing abilities like Slow, Swiftness and Dodge.

Favored Battle Rules

BARKING SPIDER's blind ability becomes more important in melee and ranged attack based battles. So, they are best suited for Lost Magic or Weak Magic battle rules.

Defense

Real threat from BARKING SPIDER is their Blind ability. So the best way to counter Blind ability is having Blind ability of your own and keep speed of monsters in mind when choosing them. Also use magic attack preferably to evade Blind ability.

Battle Link

I choose to play with my favorite Dragon summoner, ``` DARIA DRAGONSCALE```.

``` DARIA DRAGONSCALE``` gives +1 melee attack to all friendlies, along with a wide range of fierce dragon monsters.

NECTAR QUEEN

Upfront, I placed one of my favorite tank, ```NECTAR QUEEN```. She has great health and attack along with awesome speed with Flying and Retaliate ability. Quite handy tank when Legendary or Epic tanks are unavailable.

PRISMATIC ENERGY

On one down, I placed ```PRISMATIC ENERGY``` as a back up tank. Especially useful against magic attacks.

WOOD NYMPH

Next, I placed my healer, ```WOOD NYMPH```. A nice low cost healer although vulnerable to magic reflect. But since only commons and rares were allowed, so I wasn't expecting heavy magic reflect by the enemy. ---

SCREECHING VULTURE

Then I placed one of my favorite opportunity monster, the ```SCREECHING VULTURE```. ```SCREECHING VULTURE```'s best attribute is its Scavenger ability and it costs very little mana.

BARKING SPIDER

On second last position, I placed ```BARKING SPIDER```. I upgraded my ```BARKING SPIDER``` to level 6 for the Blind ability. #### I feel that despite being pretty amazing, Blind ability is underrated.

SAND WORM

On the last, I placed the newly introduced sneak tank ```SAND WORM```. A true heavy sneak attack monster.
