Hello Splinterlands Fans

Time for the SHARE YOUR BATTLE Weekly Challenge.

TORTISIAN FIGHTER is a low mana common water splinter monster. It has low health and attack initially but gets Shield ability at level 4 and Repair ability at level 8 making it some what useful. It is currently trading at 0.043$/bcx.

For this battle challenge, I upgraded my TORTISIAN FIGHTER to level 4, because of the Shield ability.

Favored Battle Rules

Although TORTISIAN FIGHTER doesn't look threatening at surface but under certain battle rules it can prove quite an asset. Level 4 plus TORTISIAN FIGHTER can be quite handy in Little League, Weak Magic, Lost Magic, Armored Up, Up and Close and Equalizer battle rules.

Placement and How to Use

Level 4 plus TORTISIAN FIGHTER can effectively be used as a low cost tank in Little League, Weak Magic, Lost Magic, Armored Up, Up and Close and Equalizer battle rules. It can be used in the back row as a nice sneak attack defender.

Having extra shield from Summoner or Monsters with protect ability can make TORTISIAN FIGHTER more difficult to take out. Including monster with complementing abilities like Triumph, Repair, Slow, Swiftness, Blind and Heal also helps.

Defense

The best way to take out TORTISIAN FIGHTER is by using magic attack or monsters with Piercing ability. Using Summoners that give reduced shield negative buff or monsters with Rust ability can reduce the efficacy of TORTISIAN FIGHTER. Negative health buff from summoners or monsters is also a nice idea.

MY BATTLE USING TORTISIAN FIGHTER

This was a 16 mana battle with two battle rules, Super Sneak and Broken Arrows.

MY LINEUP

ALRIC STORMBRINGER

I choose to play with water splinter, so I selected ``` ALRIC STORMBRINGER``` summoner, because I wanted to use the ``` SEA MONSTER```.

Ideally speaking XIA SEACHAN should be used, because I wanted to go with brute melee attack but my my XIA SEACHAN is not upgraded.

FURIOUS CHICKEN

Upfront, I placed the zero mana monster, ```FURIOUS CHIKEN``` to absorb the frontal attack and not expose my main monster right from the very 1st round.

CREEPING OOZE

On one down position, I placed another low cost monster, ```CREEPING OOZE```. The reason was the same one i.e. not exposing my ```SEA MONSTER``` too early. I was not worried about loosing attack turns as ```SEA MONSTER``` had sneak ability due to Super Sneak battle rule.

SEA MONSTER

Next, I placed my heavy hitter, ```SEA MONSTER```. A perfect tank monster for low mana battles. It have Heal and Thorns ability with heavy attack making it a real force to recon with. ---

TORTISIAN FIGHTER

One the very last, came the star of the show, ```TORTISIAN FIGHTER```. I placed it in the very last as its Shield ability is perfect for absorbing heavy sneak attacks.

I plan on upgrading him to level 8 for the sake of Repair ability.

BATTLE ANALYSIS

This was an easy battle. The enemy wrongly anticipated magic attack and lost. The SEA MONSTER did its job of heavy hitting, while TORTISIAN FIGHTER absorbed the sneak attack thanks to his Shield ability.

That will be all for today. Take very good care of yourself and people close to you.. Until next time... 👋Adios👋
