Know thyself.
I dunno about you but I get ‘lost in the game‘ .
Far, too often.
What do I mean?
It’s pretty simple .
The theory is pretty simple anyway...
Transferring the theory into practice is more difficult.
Ok, let me backtrack and start from the beginning, so as to give a clue to what is is I’m talking about.
Trading crypto.
And not getting lost in the game.
When you are surrounded – immersed - you are lost in the game. Your perspectives are skewed because of the head space that you inhabit. It has nothing to do with where the markets are, or what the fundamentals are telling you. Nothing anything external , in fact.
This space is in your own mind.
No hopium, no drama , and no desperation creeping in... This detached position allows you to see things as they are. Any emotional attachment you have with any crypto is irrelevant. (and completely illogical).
THAT is the only place to be in when you’re trading.
The trick is KNOWING THYSELF, and knowing exactly where your head space is at any given moment.
And then acting accordingly.
Never trade if emotions are involved.
Ever.
The worst thing that can ever happen is that you trade on emotions, and then profit from it.
The bigger the profit, the bigger the curse.
This curse will influence your decisions making going forwards, and the bigger the curse, the bigger the influence, and then, ultimately, the bigger your loss.
I’m not adept at choosing my mindset at any given moment – I’m way too much of a human being, and as a human, being human, I know that while emotions are not my overlord, my master, I‘m very happy to let them be an integral of my life, for most of the time.
What a grey, boring, world I would be inhabiting, if I lived solely by logic and algorithms.
Eeeewww.
Just the thought makes my skin crawl.
I can hear my soul screaming.
Know where you are mentally, and whether or not you‘re in the right head space to be trading.
And knowing that you are in the unemotional, cold , calculating head space for trading purposes - will go on to pay dividends - big time.
