Trades are not always as they appear to be. With the primary trade items of interest are settled in a gentleman’s agreement there is always an element of mystery that perpetuates in this #silvergoldstackers community.

His sweet little note.

But first, the Silver!

On to the Other items of this Care Package

The first items, one he mentions is the lovely bracelet from Saint Lucia, a place I would love to visit as in a recent [post](https://hive.blog/hive-182425/@kerrislravenhill/piratesunday-the-2019-st-lucia-two-dollars-silver-coin-scottsdale-haul-part-four) of that Island. I will bring it with me when I go to the Island of Saint Lucia, as soon as I get my 18th Century English Light frigate. A lovely bracelet but can be stretched out into a nice necklace. Adding a little color to the wardrobe, just a little.

Hmmm, a Canadian Forces Camo green band. There is a Canadian Forces Detachment stationed in Dundurn and a Canadian Forces Base in Moose Jaw. OR he could have got this at a Drill demonstration at the local Regina Exposition. In my experience, my family watched a very noisy CF military Demonstration at my local Pacific National Exhibition and demonstrations are, in reality, an Invitation to the youth to enlist a few years and learn to drive an APC. My youngest son is interested in enlisting since.

On the left appears to be lovely slightly used smoky brown Topaz? My Booty Bank could use a gem or two would round out that Treasure booty look with my Pirate Silver. Perhaps its his way in suggesting exactly that.

The Center is a Trade token. One Trade Buck dated 1969 it is likely issued by the local Chamber of Commerce to promote business in Regina for the duration of the Pioneer Exhibition that year. I do happen to have a few similar local tokens left over from my Father’s collection so I may share it’s interesting history at a date to come.

On the right appears to be a 0.999 gold PLATED bar, 5 Grams. It’s obviously not an Engelhard. It may be TEST bar as suggested by the name ‘PuriTEST’ tm. 5 gram Test Bar as a Control subject to check the null result of a NDT Verifier machine.

It gloriously failed my $50 CyberCurtainTwitcher Slide test without my buying a $750 (NDT) Non-Destructive Testing Analytical Verifier.

And Next...

Next is this shiny pen knife with no Identifying markings. He knows I have this thing for knives and sharp pointy things, like my forty-inch-long Japanese Letter Opener kind of knives. I hardly mention that I usually carry my hefty Kershaw 4035 with me as personal protection. Much easier to conceal and carry than my Japanese letter opener. I have practiced proper use and defensive deployment of my knife and the situation would have to be dire before I have to deploy the blade.

Two very old looking keys. To what? A desk drawer key, a jewelry box or tiny treasure chest. The larger key has seen a good amount of use in it’s time, the smaller one having somewhat less. How I shall use these curious old retro keys? Well, they make for great props to stage my blog’s First Image, it’s a part of a story.

So, there we go.
My added “mixed bag” that may just appear to be stuff out of fat-elvis’s junk drawer, can be great visual props to add that element of atmosphere to any of my future adventure stories.

Thank you @fat-elvis for the delightful trade.
