Coming back after having a brief absence and not being able to participate in the past challenge, I am already back and very encouraged to participate again in this week's challenge, which is sponsored by @splinterlands and convened by @carrieallen. This time I find that it is a Splinter of Death monster called "Phantasm", one of the new monsters added to the rewards edition recently and a very useful and strong one that has allowed me to win several battles quite close and interesting.

I want to take this opportunity of the challenge to thank all the team at @splinterlands for making these incredible initiatives that allow us as active players to improve our strategies and in turn improve as content creators about the game, because since I started I have learned a lot about the game and many issues in this great journey, again infinite thanks and I hope both Splinterlands and each of the players continue to grow in this great community.

Now, let's go with the theme and the challenge of this week, come with me...

First before I detail what my battle and strategy was, I want to talk about the letter involved for this week. This card is very powerful despite being of "Common" rarity, in only its level 1, has a native ability which is "fly", this allows you to avoid the attacks of land enemies, in addition to this has 4 points of speed which makes it even more complicated to hit and about 7 points of life plus 2 melee attack, which makes this monster a good tank or tank for the Splinter of death.

No doubt a great addition to this team, in addition to this the mana required to invoke is 6, a good amount that can be adapted to different battles. In addition, at higher levels you get very interesting skills such as "Return Fire", which returns the blows of the enemies with range attacks and "Retaliate" a great skill that allows you to return and respond immediately to a melee attack by a monster of the opposite. A very powerful card that can be used in many ways on the battlefield.

Zintar Mortalis

My chosen summoner for this battle, which of course is the strongest in my entire deck. All Splinters could be used for this battle, my opponent decided to go for the ground one, so I would most likely use a monster with melee attack as a tank and my summoner's innate ability is to decrease this attack by 1 point, so this would allow me to mainly reduce his tank attack, so that my Phantasm could prevail on the field.

Phantasm

The tank that I chose for my battle, without a doubt was my "Phantasm", in spite of having it in level 4, I hadn't used it as a tank, I had only placed it in the second position as a relief monster, for the first card that I usually use as the case may be, which are my "Haunted Spirit and my Lord Of Darkness". In that sense, I just wanted to test in my strategy, how the "Phantasm" would work as a main attack card and which cards could support it, all in order to win the fight. Thanks to my combination, my card was able to stay standing in the battle.

Phantom Soldier

This is my backup tank, I placed it in the second position because of its high health and life, despite being a monster with magical attack, I'm sure it could have endured the battle also standing as the main tank, also thanks to its ability it could withstand many attacks because the baseline of my opponent, was mainly composed of monsters with magical attack, while giving me twice the time needed by my back team cards to attack and destroy my opponent.

Dark Enchantrress

One of my main attack cards and one of the strongest in my lineup due to his skills at level 4. He doesn't have much health, but every attack he makes is lethal and due to his "Stun" skill, when he manages to hit a direct hit to the health of my opponent's card, he is paralyzed without being able to attack for a full round, which allowed me to quickly decrease the life of my opponent's tank and additionally protect the rest of my opponent's attack cards.

Undead Archer

A really useful letter in my team, despite not being one of the strongest in my attack, has a very good skill, which is called "Affliction". This skill at the moment of hitting my opponent directly, he is poisoned preventing the monsters with the "Heal" skill from getting their life back each round. So my strategy at this point was to prevent their cards from regaining their health, thus shortening the card's life span on the field, giving me much more of an advantage in battle.

Twisted Jester

This is always one of the main attack cards I have in my kill team, it has in my opinion a really lethal attack, especially for monsters with magic and rank attacks thanks to its native skill called "Snipe" that focuses mainly on damaging these monsters. At the level where his high speed of 4, his attack of 3 and his health of 6, is a card that can not miss in my battle team. In addition to this I always choose to place it in the last position, due to its "Dodge" ability, which allows it to dodge a large number of melee attacks, a very good protection for the rest of my cards.

My strategy worked perfectly, the truth is I didn't see many flaws against my opponent's lineup, his mistake was to think that, with the direct magical attacks on my cards' lives, I would work and could win, and my cards in this sense backed me up all the way. Besides, my "Phantasm" could prevail on the field which was my main objective, this would give me the victory for sure.

For a next time I will be testing this card in different rules to test its resistance and see that it can also be combined with other cards, both your Splinter and Dragon, which are two of the most powerful teams I own, since my focal point is to be able to win as many battles as possible and always aim for the high leagues as champions I.

Yes, I had already used it much more frequently, the only difference is that I had not used it as a main tank in a battle, always as a secondary tank, in case my main tanks fell in battle and managed to give my cards more time to continue with the attack.

This is certainly a great card that can be adapted to different rules and serve as a great support for any battle that requires speed and power at the same time, a very good combination that can work and destroy any opponent if used at the right time and occasion.

¡I invite everyone to join Splinterlands, the best game based on chains of blocks, full of adventures, battles and strategies where you will have fun and get rewards according to your league!
