Hello, friends, With this post I participate in the second edition of the interesting contest organized by @bdcommunity: Splinterlands Quidditch[Year 2]. This week's theme is: "Best Little League Line Up".

*

Little League

*

**Little League is a particular rule of battle in the beautiful game of Splinterlands. According to this battle rule the only monsters you can line up in battle are those that have a cost in mana less than or equal to 4.

To win a battle of Splinterlands it is very important to consider the Rules of Combat very carefully. Rarely a battle has only one battle rule, most of the time the battle rules are two for each battle. That's why I don't have a single best little league line up but I have my own best little league line up for every fighting rule that is combined with the Little League rule.

Target Practice and Little League

*

For example, when the rules of combat are:**Target Practice and Little League

*

I choose the Summoner that allows me to deploy cards that have the **Blast ability such as Screaming Banshee.

In fact when the battle rule is Target Practice** the cards with ranged attack and magic attack that have the Blast ability become really powerful because with one attack they are able to hit up to three cards.

**

Reverse Speed and Little League

When the rules of combat are: Reverse Speed and Little League

* A valid and possible lineup could be that of the following image

All cards have low speed (1-2) which, reversed, becomes high speed and all cards have a higher probability of avoiding one or more attacks. Crustacean King (level 6) protects cards with +2 armor points. Spineback Turtle should resist several attacks (6 life + 5 (3+2) armor points) also thanks to Crustacean King's healing ability.

The ideal Summoner to use is Alric Stormbringher (+1 magic attack). The above image formation can also be a valid option when the battle rule is Heavy Hitters with the only trick to place Medusa and her precious ability Stun in a more protected position.

**

Unprotected and Little League

*

When the rules of combat are Unprotected and Little League I always try to use Daria Dragonscale (dragon summoner) which allows me to deploy Manticore (level 4) in second position. Manticore (level 4) has three great abilities but mainly has 8 life points that are a lot for a card that costs only 4 mana. When all cards lose their armor points 8 life points are even more important.

**

Earthquake and Little League

*

When the rules of combat are Earthquake and Little League I prefer cards that have the Flying ability. In fact when the battle rule is Earthquake all cards that do not have the Flying ability lose two life points at the end of each round of the battle.

Very useful cards in this particular circumstance are: **

A possible and valid line up could be the one you can see in the following image:

Tower Griffin** in this battle formation is very important because its ability allows all cards but especially Cerberus who does not have the Flying ability to have two armor points. When the battle rule is Earthquake the armor points become even more important.

**

Armored Up and Little League

When the rules of combat are Armored Up and Little League I try to deploy as many magic attack cards as possible that allow me to bypass the armour of the opponent's cards.

Tips and Strategies.

* I have only given a few examples to underline the importance of the rules of battle. The cards are important but the battle rules are even more important.

Always choose the summoner and the monster cards according to the statistics of the cards that best fit the battle rules.

In this type of battle, the card to be placed in first position plays an important role. Make a choice between cards that have a strong melee attack or a strong magic attack and a good number of life and armor points.

Battle rules

In the battle of this post I had the following conditions to respect:

  • Silenced Summoners: All summoner abilities are canceled.
  • Little League: You can use summoners and monster cards that have a mana cost of 4 or less.
  • Mana Cap: 38.
  • Evocators usable**: All.

**

My battle formation

*

The maximum number of cards that can be deployed in battle is 7 ( 1 summoner + 6 monsters).

I have chosen to deploy (in order of position):

**

Cerberus - Manticore - Serpentine Spy - Enchanted Pixie - Beetle Queen - Fire Spitter

Daria Dragonscale (Summoner)

*

First Position: Cerberus (Level 5)

*Cerberus is an almost obligatory choice when the battle rule is little league and when you choose to use the fire element. It has two excellent skills: Heal and Retaliate. I chose Cerberus because it gives me good resistance in first position and thanks to Enchanted Pixie's Inspire ability it increases its attack by one unit (3 -> 4).

Second Position: Manticore (Level 4)

* One of my favorite cards to play in second place. It has three skills and eight life points. It attacks from second position and thanks to Enchanted Pixie's Inspire ability it increases its attack by one unit (2 -> 3).

Third Position: Serpentine Spy (Level 2)

** I chose Serpentine Spy for his attack (2 -> 3) and for his speed (4). His weak point is the only waist, that's why I always deploy him in the middle positions which are the most protected.

Fourth Position: Enchanted Pixie (Level 5)

*

A card I recently upgraded. It's a card I often side with the summoners Daria Dragonscale and Malric Inferno. It costs only 3 mana points and has the *Inspire ability that allows me to get in the battle of this post 3 additional melee attack points.

Fifth Position: Beetle Queen (Level 5)

* I chose the fifth position because the speed of Fire Spitter guarantees a decent protection. He has the precious ability Tank Heal

Sixth Position: Fire Spitter (Level 3)

It's a great card I use almost exclusively in Little League battles. Fire Spitter always in last position because it has a good number of life points and a good speed that could avoid some attacks.

Summoner: Daria Dragonscale (Level 4)

It's one of the summoners I use the most. In this battle, it loses its ability but allows me to deploy Manticore and Fire Spitter.

The battle ends in round three. ** I really like to participate in this contest and if you are registered in Splinterlands you must absolutely participate too.

Haven't you registered on Splinterlands yet?

You are missing out on a more unique than rare opportunity to enjoy yourself and at the same time to earn tokens and cards.

Splinterlands is a beautiful game but it is above all an excellent investment (my personal opinion).**
