Hey everyone, isn't it amazing how life and priorities change on the flip of a coin and it has! I have been rather introspective of late and lets face it, we all have.

The other day I came to this realization. We are living in the days where food has officially become a currency? It was always said that money does not grow on Tree's, in light of recent world events, maybe all of a sudden it does?

Above a gorgeous Tahitian Butternut Flower still in bloom (hoping this produces a fruit) and below my super hot chilli pepper's which I have planted all over the place, the chilli nut I am!

I am blessed enough to live on a plot and have been for 2 years, given recent events I don't think life could be better at this point. Sunshine, Freedom (as much as is possible currently) and I keep relatively busy, one activity of course which takes up much of my well spent time is gardening!

We are now rather deep into Autumn and to my surprise, amazement and joy these are still fruiting. Above black brinjals and below yellow brinjals, these really are the fruit's that keep on giving all through summer and as can be seen here well into Autumn!

Back to the title of this blog? What if a time arrives where the only way to survive would be to barter food? Brinjals for Honey? Chilli's for corn etc? Now I am not saying we are going there any time soon, but as an 'insurance policy' growing food is one of the best I feel!

This garden of mine looks as if it is well on it's way into Winter, time to start planting some Kale and Spinach I think?

Last Winter I planted Lettuce too, I feel that this year I will skip that as it doesn't have much nutritional value, does not last very long and is not versatile. What I will be planting is, Onions, Carrot's Kale, Spinach and possible some broad beans?

Which begs the question, what is your 'hedge bet' in these times and do you garden and if so what are you planting?

Nature the incredible.

I trust you have a lovely weekend, love and light.

Be blessed. Cheer$;)
