My HF24 Experience

Today has been quite a day here on Hive with HF24 taking place.

Things have been pretty eventful, with HF24 taking place and causing quite some havoc for a few hours. This is what I've noticed since Hive's network upgrade has completed.

@Ecency's desktop app is almost completely broken, can't post, vote, look at transactions or do much of anything. Their mobile app is functional although a little buggy, though this appears to have been fixed in their code repository. There doesn't appear to be any code activity for their desktop app recently to fix this. I was going to look into fixing it myself in my local copy of esteem-surfer/Ecency but didn't have the time.

Aside from a few hours of downtime for most DApps and some older apps being broken, everything seems to have gone fairly well. While I've definitely witnessed smoother network upgrades, Hive's development team did quite a good job at keeping everything in order especially given Hive's social focus.

I likely won't be making any long posts until @ecency pushes out a fix. Looks like an understandable oversight by @good-karma, hopefully it gets fixed soon. I'll probably take another shot at fixing it myself if it's not fixed shortly.

LeoFinance also seems to have handled the upgrade pretty well, they've currently got a banner up letting people know any issues they might encounter as due to the upgrade. Looks like other tribe sites are up and running again too.
