I FINALLLY bought some hive.

Pretty embarrassingly, I have never been able to buy crypto, even as a dapp developer. Reason being I was trying again and again with my credit cards, not my debit card. Plus it's a bit harder as an American.

My credit cards didn't work because Visa has a policy against it for most cards, so I just thought my Visa debit card would have the same issue. Apparently not!

Before I figured that out, I got an Amex JUST because I knew this particular card could buy crypto. Anyway, practically NOBODY lets you in with an Amex, which I discovered soon after

I'm a believer everything happens for a reason, and when I finally tried with my debit card, it worked flawlessly first try! Not only that, I was able to get in at a good (<.20) rate. So my misubderstanding landed me with more HP today, and more power to help Musicians in the community. SOO STOKED

Once I got situated, with the HP in my @currentxchange account (from our Hive app cXc Music) so I can use it to upvote music, and @aquarius.academy account so I can upvote conscious material, I realized the realities of the 12 week power down.

I immediately had an idea

I thought, why not simply power down 100% of the hive, and each week when I get the liquid Hive, I can sell it if the price is good, and simply power it back up if I don't want to sell?

What's the harm? Seems like my vote will only be worth less for the short time before I see it got powered down (if I power it back up).

I don't want to exit on Hive at all, don't get me wrong, I have been dying to by Hive since March, and I have been on Hive since day 1.

I want to get a bit out when it's good, that way if Hive dips again I can buy more!!

Plus, it's such a small amount, less than 9%, it won't affect my vote too too much.

Has anyone tried this already?

I want to ask, because although it seems like a good idea, Hive has been so stable the past 4 months or so, I'm not sure if it's worth it at all...

p.s. Did Hive bite the logo from this silly game??
