Follow Friday - Late Edition
I have been out all day, so this week's #followfriday is running late. It has been 'interesting' watching the crypto prices this week. I mostly care about $Hive, but I keep hoping to see it get well clear of $Steem. The latter was ahead for a while, but they have swapped back. I really wonder is speculators take any account of actual utility. The Hive platform has lots of good creators and is under active development, unlike 'the other place'.
From @CoinGecko
Their respective sites are diverging in usage with Hive.io pulling ahead.
Peakd is not far behind and I think Hive has more general activity across the various dapps, including the games.
Here are my weekly tips of people to check out:
- @sidekickmatt puts out a couple of comic strips each week plus other artworks he has come up with. He does some great versions of classic characters as well as some original ones.
- @normie.fitness is on a mission to dispel various fitness and weight loss myths. There are plenty of people after your money with dodgy products, so check it out.
- @thetroublenotes are a band who have managed to do some performances recently. The world needs great music to keep our spirits up.
- @the-bitcoin-dood is the one responsible for getting me onto Steem originally. He is obviously a crypto fam. but his posts also include games, music and his travels by motorbike.
- I encountered @johneyreacko and @pommom via the Rising Star game. They have lots to offer the community.
I do what I can to drive engagement on Hive. We need active people commenting as well as voting to make it work as a social platform. That makes it more fun for everyone. Feel free to make your own suggestions of cool people in the comments here or your own posts.
