Hi everyone, this is the second installment of my #hivejourney series of posts. This is actually long overdue as I originally planned to post every two weeks and almost four weeks had passed since my first post.

On-Boarding

I have about four people that I have referred to the Hive blockchain, using HIVEONBOARD. While each of them have yet to publish their first post, I am preparing some materials for them that they can read to familiarize themselves with Hive and blockchain technology. I will also refer them to the @hivephilippines community to expand their reach and start networking with other Hive users from the Philippines.

Contest

I mentioned last time that I am planning to hold a contest, probably music-related. It is still in the works as I am still rearranging some items inside the house where I can shoot my photo/video in case the contest starts. Watch this space.

Splinterlands

In Splinterlands, I created a guild called Clan of Apolaki. Apolaki is a god in Philippine mythology and regarded as the patron of warriors. My primary purpose of creating the guild is just really for camaraderie, to bring HivePH members who play Splinterlands together in one group. I didn't even set a required contribution, unlike in other guilds that members are required to give a fixed amount of DEC tokens in regular intervals. We'll see how this guild goes in terms of competitiveness in playing in tournaments or even in casual gameplays. I even consider myself as the weakest player in that guild, which is very uncharacteristic being the "leader" of the guild. Moving forward with my account, I am saving money to buy DEC tokens as I hope to purchase at least 100 booster packs in a single transaction. Source

Last season, I finished a lower ranking compared to the season before that. It was not that bad, as I also had lesser time in playing the game because of work commitments. The rewards are not bad (see below).

I also got an orb reward. For those who are not familiar with orbs, they're like booster packs though the set from where the cards are drawn is the Winds of Change collection.

What I like with playing Splinterlands are these rewards. I am not just enjoying the game, it gives me freebies which I can use to enhance my game play or exchange for cryptocurrency.

Hive Hodlings

For my wallet, nothing much has changed, though I have about 19 Hive Dollars waiting to be converted. I hold myself in converting it to Hive and I like the feeling of having dollars in my wallet, lol. I still haven’t properly configured my Hive Engine tokens though I am planning to buy some more HIVE so I can start trading with other Hive-Engine tokens. Here are my wallet stats as of this writing.

2022 Challenge

I might give my 2022 Challenge a reboot. The old one has a target of 20,000 (Steem) power at the start of 2022. If I will reset the challenge, I might give it a lower target because of my financial position. Also, I will set author rewards as my primary source of Hive Power compared to the old one which was buying HIVE and powering the account up, on a regular basis. Let's see what happens in the next few weeks.

That's all for now folks, I hope you got something from this post and I appreciate if you follow my account.

Again, I challenge the readers of this post, to do the same series of #hivejourney post, and use the tag #hivejourney.
