The heat of the Hive torch is pleasant, but it must keep their path of trust...

This morning I received the #hivetorch from my virtual hive friend @acesontop and I can't express the feeling of gratitude that I have now. We've been interacting for a bit and I always enjoyed reading him back & forth in my feed. You made my day :)

I'm the proud tenth holder of the torch and it feels amazing.

I'm also feeling... nervous? Quite a few eyes are waiting for me to transfer the hive torch to the next 'trusted holder'. I can feel the 'social pressure' damn. And my account is 'almost' anonymous in the sense that you can't link me directly (or not should be that easy) to my real identity.

It's almost magic. To trust in a trustless way. But it's happening in front of our eyes. Goosebumps.

Seriously. Thanks Bitcoin, thanks Hive & thanks everyone who's making all of this possible.

While I'm passing the torch, a little call to action to the Hive community

I'll be passing the torch to @queengaga.

Probably many of you never heard about her, but that's exactly my point. She's a graphic-designer & also owns a restaurant. She still would be a no-coiner if it wasn't for me.

She is a beginner. Discovered Bitcoin ~1 year ago and since then she's been learning non-stop.

As time passes she's getting used to publish more often, but still struggles a lot micromanaging all the stuff with the exchanges, fiat-ramps and all the different things that we can do in the crypto space. Pretty normal if you ask me!

I personally made a very big effort to onboard her on HIVE (previously ''the currency that should not-be-named''). At first she didn't understand the point of all of this. Because it's overwhelming.

-Do you want the torch? -What do you mean? Which torch? -I got it! I got the #hivetorch!

Can you imagine the drama when we forked? Damn. We're talking about very difficult things to understand for a non-techie person when heard for the first time.

Or you can heard it, but living through it it's a completely different story...

Anyway. My point is that we're still not ready to onboard masses as using HIVE is still a 'bit' complicated.

But if we made a community effort and everyone of us bring another person this place would be overcrowded tomorrow!

Bring your friend/family/loved one here. Be patient with him/her. Teach them the basics slowly. With passion but also with deep conviction.

If we manage to onboard new people in the same way that we fought against centralisation, we're unstoppable.

By the way...

Please have a bit of patience with her, I'll be mentoring her to assure that she doesn't send the torch to @null hehe.

One last thing...

  • 50% of the rewards are going to the next #hivetorch holder; @queengaga.
  • 25% of the rewards are going to the DHF.
  • The remaining 25% are going to be burned (sent to @null).

Thanks again @acesontop for sending me the torch & also thanks to @stayoutoftherz for lighting the torch.
