what is this?

in short: This account is dedicated to an artproject named s-u-b-l-i-m-e It expresses political thoughts and system critics crystalizing mostly in collages and the magazine cover subLIME.

this work is inspired by german plakatkünstler Klaus Staeck and creative workoholic David Dees

s-u-b-l-i-m-e is an art concept, an idea.
It´s main purpose is to fake TIME MAGAZINE covers we have never seen. It is a mirror of our time, our current cultural state, system of war, greed and coruption, compiled into critical montages and sub-LIME covers, which appear in the first glance like (FAKE)TIME magazine covers. With a dark, sarcastic sense of humour I will try hard to shock you, wake you up or at least make you think for a moment.

my first serious work on this subLIME concept idea was in 2015

my work was always inspired by Plakat künstler Klaus Staeck his political plakat works were really always on the pulse of time and sharp and direct.

David Dees works for 3 decades on collages and has made a magazine title series called sheeples for several years

Here are some of my favorite works of David Dees, a workohol beast of artist I admire a lot. He always brings it to the point.

After 10 years of making political collages myself I started 4 years ago with some prototype covers for subLIME and it is now time to make it an official art project. good things sometimes need time to crystalize.
