Well there are a thousand and one variables to consider. Bitcoin gains stability due to the high market cap relative to other projects.

When I said Bitcoin will remain stagnant and predictable I'm referring to network security, utility, and censorship resistance. Meanwhile, the halving event is creating huge bursts of volatility every 4 years on a delayed reaction. Bitcoin does not need a halving event to continue doubling in value every year. This mechanic has the effect of capturing the world's attention by going x20 every so often and then crashing into the mountain.

Besides, why then Hive is not moving, with its high inflation?

Why would it move? Better goal is to have coins retain their value while increasing the power of the stakeholders. Their power increases when inflation increases because upvotes are worth more. This way tons of value is being created AND the coin has stability.

In addition, the timeline you are looking at is way too small. Bitcoin being top dog essentially forces all other projects to be on this 4-year cycle. Talk to me again in 3 months when Bitcoin is trading above all time highs. Mindsets change during ATH.
