Disneyland is reportedly looking at implementing at least 23,000 new safety measures in their plans to prepare the parks for reopening. It is expected that they will still remain closed for weeks, perhaps months, as they work hard to get things ready.

Capacity for the region will be strictly limited to about 25 percent and there will be a wide range of new changes, including face masks and distancing rules, and more.

There is going to be a great deal more plastic shielding in place around the parks and will be clear signs reminding people to keep safe distances from one another.

You will find many hand sanitizing stations, temperature checks taking place, and other changes that have been made.

The downtown Disney outdoor shopping area is already open and it has been for months now, it opened back in July. There are also plans for limited ride reopenings at Disney California Adventure coming in November. There will also be some limited shopping and dining options as well that will be reopened at that time.

But famous hotels like the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier Hotel are still closed for now.

These are changes being made to Disneyland that might stick around forever. The 'new normal' as it is being referred to and that means less contact when visiting the park, with things like distancing rules, barriers, and contactless payments.

“When we reopen the parks, we’re going to have 50 new freestanding hand washing stations and over 1,000 hand sanitizing stations in guest and employee areas,” - Disneyland resort senior vice president of experience integration M. Niven.

They will be installing thousands of new barriers and tens of thousands of new signs that detail health information around the park to guests, in multiple languages.

You will see more mobile food ordering options coming around that are going to help fuel that contactless payment switch. If they can get it right that might mean shorter wait times for things like rides and drinks or food, with smaller crowds and more efficient payment methods etc.

Thousands of Disney employees lost their jobs this year.

At least 9,000 of them were part-time workers. Overall, it is estimated that they cut almost 30k jobs just in the United States for their parks. Some of those workers in need have received food and cash donations from voluntary contributions that came from churches and other helpers. Many of those Disney workers don't want to lose what they consider ot be their dream job and they hope that things are going to open back up again soon so that they don't have to struggle any longer. Few of them have even protested for the reopening because they are so frustrated about being out of work. But those changes could still likely be months away from taking place and thousands of those employees being invited back.
