It Could Take Years For Travel To Return To Normal

For millions of people who had to cancel their trips this year many of them still have not gotten any funding back from having to pull the cord on their plans. While there might be a great deal of folks who are eager to get out there and explore once again, millions of others are nervous to get back to travel as usual.

Surveys have shown that many people are uneasy with flying still, at least until there is any vaccine that comes to market which alleges to address the coronavirus.

It Won't Be For Everyone

Even if one does come to market, then some suggest it still won't be enough to save the travel market. And at that point there could still be many people who have simply changed their travel plans for good.

Various surveys have shown that there are a decent percentage of people who would be willing to accept the vaccine, while you can also find many who are passionate against and they will not be subjecting themselves to it even if it does become mandatory. They're ready to face the consequences and will reject such a proposal no matter what, and that should be their right, the right of every individual to decide what goes into their body.

Despite there being no solution like that yet offered to the masses, there are a decent majority who would still be willing to travel regardless. And they have been already in some places that have opened up for business for more services. Working with governments around the world to coordinate that however is still proving to be difficult. While one region might open up for non-essential travel, others will stay closed, making it impossible for people to make it from one region to the other until there is agreement there.

Some people are willing to take the chance, on traveling despite the risks, and they too should be given the freedom to travel. It is going to take a great deal of time before we might see travel levels go back to the levels they were before COVID-19, if they ever get there, it could still be years before that happens. A vaccine coming to market is no guarantee that people will feel comfortable traveling again right away or that people will even have the means to travel.

Some might have changed their travel habits for good now because they had never experienced anything like this before and never want to go through a nightmare scenario of being stuck overseas or on a cruise ship for weeks, or longer, like some people had to go through this year.

Already, it's estimated that the travel market has lost some $500 billion just this year alone. Millions of travel industry jobs have also been jeopardized.
