Wendy's is the first major chain to stop offering a number of burger choices because of beef shortages right now. The classic Dave's single, triple, Baconator, and even the Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, are all missing from the menu.

Your local Wendy's franchise might still have some left, but in general they've got a supply chain problem right now for beef products and you might not see your usual options on the menu for some time.

1 in 5 Wendy's restaurants are out of beef right now

Who knows what restaurant might be next, as the beef and pork shortage continues.

That's millions of burgers that are not getting sold right now because they don't have the ingredients to make it. You might notice other restaurants also running out of certain items, as stores and restaurants scramble right now to find a trustworthy and dependable supplier.

Wendy's Refuses To Use Frozen Beef

They might be able to find some frozen beef supplies right now but for Wendy's that isn't good enough as they are known to always offer fresh beef choices with their menu items.

About 18% of Wendy's locations are almost out of beef.

They are still making deliveries to their restaurants at least 2 or 3 times a week but in general for North America there might be some growing beef and pork shortages right now, that could easily continue for some time.

McDonald's is also looking at shortages as well, as their executives have said the company does expect to see major reductions in meat production that will continue through at least the first half of May.
