Getting Forked Already
Yes, the long-dreaded Hard Fork 21 is coming tomorrow. I was reading more about it on this post from Justine. (I didn't tag because I feel that's overused and people basically get spammed.) One of the things I got from her article is this:
It is important to remember that on the chain things are calculated in a 7 day payout window. This means that post payouts going back to Aug 20th will see the change.
CRAP!!!
I just used some of my DEC to get votes from Steem Monsters on a few posts. I thought that since they were created under the current system that they would be paid out under the current rules, and that posts created after 11AM EST tomorrow would be paid out under the new rules. It doesn't sound like that's the case which is a bummer because that removes the profitability. I would have gotten more by just selling the DEC.
Life goes on.
It's not the start I was hoping for with the Hard Fork, but I can't say I'm surprised.
