Hours ago, a group of hackers naming themselves as 'Anonymous Philippines' attacked one of the customer service Twitter account (@PLDT_cares) of one of the Philippines biggest Telco PLDT.

I for one consider their attack a little classy as they only posted the message below, demanding PLDT to provide Filipinos a 'faster' and better internet connection.

What I find funny about this though is that PLDT's Social Media pages (Twitter and Facebook) always urge their users to be more careful on the 'messages' and 'emails' they receive as it was reported that a bunch of people are trying to take advantage of the ongoing COVID crisis to hack, phish or social engineer their users to steal and get sensitive information out from them.

Kinda ironic that they themselves lost control of their Twitter account for hours.

It is worth to note though that PLDT the telco giant was not the one who was hacked but only their 'Customer Service TWITTER' account. So don't worry if you are using PLDT line.

As for me, I'm using Globe Telecom and apart from it being more 'expensive' I don't really have major complaints about it after using it for years now. I did consider switching to PLDT but too much hassle to switch now honestly so I'm just gonna stick with Globe for now.

Also, it seems they are the next target of Anonymous Philippines. Hopefully, they would really step up their game (Globe) and improve more their browsing and download speed to match the price they are asking for their users cause I for one can say that they are overcharging way too much XD.
