2020: Foggy beginning / Nebliger Anfang

For me, the new year started pretty foggy.

Für mich hat das neue Jahr ziemlich benebelt angefangen.

But it wasn't me who was foggy, but the area around the reservoir. As so often I went for a walk there on January 1st in the early morning and hoped for a nice sunrise on the first day of the new year. Unfortunately, the fog thwarted my expectations and didn't let a single ray of sunshine pass through.

Aber nicht ich war benebelt, sondern die Gegend am Stausee. Wie so oft bin ich dort auch am 1. Jänner am frühen Morgen spazieren gegangen und hatte auf einen schönen Sonnenaufgang am ersten Tag des neuen Jahres gehofft. Leider hat mir der Nebel einen Strich durch die Rechnung gemacht und keinen einzigen Sonnenstrahl durchgelassen.

When I took the photos it was just before sunrise and it was still quite dark.

I then continued my drive after my walk and when I was over the fog I could still see subtle morning colors.

Als ich die Fotos gemacht habe, war es kurz vor Sonnenaufgang und noch ziemlich dunkel gewesen.

Ich bin dann nach meinem Spaziergang weitergefahren und als ich über dem Nebel war, konnte ich dann doch noch leichte morgendliche Farben erkennen.
