It's the first day of August and we are excited of what's ahead. We will start the month with good news. Before we move on to August, we will report the end of month staking rewards of the Plankton Token for July. We do not have the Staking feature enabled in Steem Engine because we cannot afford it, at this point and we do not see the need for it at the moment. However, we actually have been giving staking rewards for months now. This is the third month that we are giving staking rewards to our Richlist holders (people who hold 100 PLKN and up). We give 1% staking rewards every end of month for those people who did not have any sells or technically had their assets, "locked up." The person has to be in the richlist status and hold the assets for the whole month (30 days) to qualify.

Last July 2019, the people listed below are the people who qualify for the 1% staking rewards. Current Richlist member who are not listed down below, you either sold some of your assets last month or you were not a Richlist member yet on the first of July, those are the reasons why you did not qualify.

Starting the August 2019, PLKN Buyers can get staking rewards IN STEEM. Yes, that's right! Regardless if you belong to tier1 (Champ), tier 2 (VIP) or tier 3 (Richlist), you all will get same amount of STEEM for just holding PLKN in a "lock-up status," meaning NO SELLS AND NO TRANSFERS. It's another way of passive income to everyone in Plankton, isn't that amazing?!

Where will the Steem for staking rewards come from?

The Steem staking rewards will be taken from the earnings of the Plankton Token Sales, we will allocate the 1% monthly earnings to rewarding people that HODL PLKN. Passive income for just being chill as a Plankton.

What, we have 2 types of staking now?

Yes! We have 2 types of staking now, the Richlist only staking (rewarded in PLKN) and the overall staking (rewarded in Steem.) Now, we need to have the same rules for both. About the "lock-up status," it must be NO SELLS AND NO TRANSFERS. Absolutely no sells because that is the essence of staking, however, for transfers, we will note those who have games and are sending or transferring prizes, those transfers are not counted against them on this rule.

Why is transfer not allowed?

Because any movement of the asset is contrary to the concept of staking and if we do allow transfers, people can game the system. Remember, we do not have the Scotbot staking, just yet.
