For some reason, I think your going to end up with a gaming laptop but I don't really have a recommendation. I don't think the price will be too much higher if you get an i7 or a newer gen processor. Then there is also the question of whether or not you want a AMD processor or not because they have been making some headway. I went for intel for safety.
