My Second Layer Tokens and I (December - January Assessment)

☆ A SET-BACK

At this point, I must acknowledge the fact that I haven't been active in posting on Hive as I thought I would. Although, I envisaged this moment and that was why I gave it my all each time I was opportune to create amazing content. However, I try to remain active in terms of engagement especially on Leothreads, on Afri-tunes community and few other communities.

Of course, this has great impact on my author rewards since I barely create posts. Although, I, most times, rely on them for financial sustenance and clearing of debts, I am incapacitated to do beyond my current activities. I hope it gets better soon, possibly, little by little.

☆ TO BE INTENTIONAL

Likewise, I missed sharing an update in December 2022 about the growth of my second layer tokens. Recall, that in the month of August 2022, I started a personal project to improve my consciousness and growth of my second layer tokens. In other words, I devoted the last week of every month to assess my second layer tokens and power them up, so that so that I could make an overall assessment of my progress and limitations, as well as set realistic goals.

Although, my fifth edition should be December's edition, but I didn't have any during December. Hence, this edition will be the fifth edition and it will cover two months. Don't expect much liquid to stake because I wasn't fully with my content creating zeal due to the physical engagements I had.

Likewise, although this is a personal project, I hope it can inspire people to be more aware of the Hive Second Layer tokens, as well as to invest and stake them for the long term.

☆ HOW DO I GET THESE TOKENS?

As a reminder, the following methods can be used to obtain the tokens in the Hive Second Layer:

  • Use the appropriate Tribe tags when you create high-quality content
  • Take part in and try your best to win contests
  • Purchase these tokens from Hive Engine Decentralized Exchanges (Dex) like: Leodex, Hive-engine, beeswap or Tribaldex.com

Do Well to DYOR (Do Your Own Research) before investing in any crypto asset.

Overall, in as much as the time frame spans for the length of two months (December and January), I wasn't able to achieve much due to my low activities in terms of posting on the chain. Thus, this affected both my author reward in terms of Hive, HBD and other tokens.

However, there were obvious signs of progress little by little since I still engaged with other content, used leothreads as well as curated. Thus, I acquired some tokens based on curation rewards and they kept on growing little by little.

Similarly, my leogoals for 2023 has also pushed me to devise strategic methods to grow my Leo stake to reach the Cub status. Thus, even if I do not make post, I must still fulfil the minimum LEO powerup to achieve this goal. Similarly, the quest to join the Hive Power Up every month will also encourage me to better grow my stake.

I hope this month will be better and I will see substantial increase in the tokens' quantity. Also, the upwards movement of Hive also translated to movement in these tokens' value. Thus, this is the best time to keep stacking them.

I hope to see more increase in my LEO, POB, CTP, WAIV, NEOXIAN and MUSIC tokens.

☆ SHORT-TERM SAVING GOALS

For the month of December, I gave this as my target:

  • I was able to fulfil my target of 500 Music tokens, however, I do not know if this target that fulfilled in the month of December or January. But, at this present moment, I have 800+ Music tokens.
  • I wasn't able to purchase 63 more UTOPIS, and at the present moment, the price has gone 4X I bought it. If I had followed my intuition that time, I should have been in profit at this moment.
  • I didn't purchase my BXT to fulfil this goal.

Thus, my goal for the month of December was barely 35% fulfilled. Poor mark!

GOALS FOR FEBRUARY

I do not plan on setting any goals for my second layer tokens for the month of February. February 2023 has only 28 days, and the manner which I am busy, I may not realize when the month will come to an end. Hence, I will try to uphold my Leogoals and Hive Power Up day goals to ensure that I power up during both occasions.

I will you all a lovely month ahead, and take care to grow your Hive, HBD and second layer stake.
