This is one of the largest industries we have. Globally, it accounts for a large amount of GDP. It actually is a culmination of many different industries.

These are made up of companies that are involved with the production and sale of energy, including fuel extraction, manufacturing, refining and distribution.

Under this we see these different industries:

  • fossil fuels
  • electric power
  • nuclear power
  • renewable energy

Energy consumption is expected to keep growing, according to organizations such as the IEA.

In many countries it is the main part of the economy.
