dCrops: My End of Summer and Early Autumn Operativeness (ENG/ITA)

The number of Hive-based games is increasing as time goes on and this is a very good aspect because it means that Hive is alive and continues to expand its horizons of development and also game possibilities.

As an enthusiast of blockchain games with a particular and natural preference for Hive-based games I am starting to have problems with time to play all the games I have invested in which at the moment are 11 but may increase in number in the coming months...

As long as I can I will continue to enjoy playing as many Hive games as I can and also continue to post content about the games on my Hive blog.

Today I almost forgot to:

check the completion of the seasonal quests of dCrops
check to see if I had any mature crops to collect.

Fortunately, I remembered to log into the game a few hours before the end of the season.

On dCrops, time is marked by seasons which are the same as in real life but have a 15-day duration. Checking the completion status of the seasonal quests is the first task I do before the end of the season because I check if I can complete the quests at the beginning of each season and then make the claim of rewards at the end of the season or at the beginning of the next season.

Today even if I had forgotten to check my quests before the end of the season I would not have had any problems because as you can see from the following image I only had 3 sell type quests to complete.

It could have been a problem if I had harvest type quests related to crops that require 10-12 days to mature and if I forgot to harvest before the end of the season I would not have been able to complete all the seasonal quests which means not receiving the quests rewards!

On dCrops, time is marked by seasons which are the same as in real life but have a 15-day duration. Just over a day ago the spring season ended and the hottest season of all, summer, began.

Today I sold 3 Thyme, 3 Peas and 2 Rosemary from the Inventory section of dCrops in exchange for 55 Shares points.

I immediately claimed the rewards and in the following image you can see what I found inside 12 chests.

The only NFTs that can be sold in the market are the NFTs Stone and 2 NFT Stones have a total market value of 1 HIVE. The value of my last seasonal reward was lower than the average value of previous rewards but the boosters and craft items will definitely come in handy in the future.

The second operation I perform before the end of the season is to check if I have mature and unharvested crops. This is an important operation because if there are mature crops and I don't harvest before the end of the season I lose the crop and can no longer harvest the crops.

In my plots I had only seeds that have the ability to produce crops several times during a season but I could not make an additional harvest because the production time was greater than the time left before the end of the season.

Also in the summer season as in my last 6 seasons I chose as a strategy not to sell any crops outside of those whose sale was necessary to complete the seasonal quests.

The reason is simple and I also shared it in my previous posts, I want to sell most of the crops I have in my inventory during the upcoming Easter promotion which was announced a while ago by dCrops in one of his tweets (see screenshot below).

Even though I sold only 8 crops during the summer season, I can still monitor my progress by considering:

the total value of the Shares points of the crops I have in my inventory.
the value of my card collection.

In the summer season I planted 102 NFTs of seed type:

39 Wheat
21 Watermelon
13 Turnip
2 Tomato
4 Blueberry
7 Oregano
8 Basil
3 Rice
5 Mystery Seeds

At the beginning of the summer, my inventory was worth 14570 Shares points.

Today, March 21, 2023, my inventory is worth 16963 Shares points.

I have therefore increased the value of my inventory by +2393 Shares points in 15 days (previous increase: +2429 Shares points).

Considering the Leaderboard rewards data in relation to the Shares points obtained by players in the summer season, it is possible to calculate the value in CROP of 1 Shares point by doing a simple proportion:

If I had sold all the crops I harvested during the summer season I would have gotten about 2038.07 CROP whose current market value (Highest Bid) is 6.5422 SWAP.HIVE = $2.7085.

The value of my card collection has declined slightly in the negative since the beginning of the summer season from a value of 1530.28 HIVE to a value of 1500.18 HIVE (-30.10 HIVE)

As soon as the new season started, I requested the new seasonal quests.

If you are a new player always remember to request the new quests before planting the seeds for the new season because otherwise you may have a lot of difficulty completing the quests ;)

In the image below you can see the new quests I received today that I need to complete during the fall season.

The quests can be of three types:

Sell
Plant
Harvest

Quests that require you to sell crops may also require you to sell plantable crops in seasons other than the one currently in progress. For this reason, I try to keep a good number of crops in my inventory: 12 crops for each type and rarity of crops.

Last season I was quite lucky because I could complete 6 out of 7 quests. This season I was again quite lucky because I can easily and again complete 6 out of 7 sest. The only quest I cannot complete is the 6th quest because I have no Corn type crops in my inventory and no NFT Corn to plant.

I must then use the Reroll function, spend 10 CROP and hope to receive a new quest that I can complete.

The new quest asks me to plant 4 Sunflower seeds but I cannot complete this quest either. New Reroll!

Fortunately after the second reroll I get a quest that I can easily complete because I have 26 NFT Garlic in my card collection.

The last thing I do is plant the seed-type NFTs in my possession into the plots of my Land-type NFTs from the Farm section of dCrops.

This season I decided to use the following boosters:

3 Fertile Plus on 3 Awesome Land
10 Speed Grow on 7 Awesome Land and 3 Fertile Land.

The fall season is the only season in which I do not have legendary seeds to plant, so I decided to plant 12 mystery seeds hoping that at least one will turn into a legendary seed even though the chances of this happening are very low.

And indeed no mystery seed has turned into a legendary seed :(

The 12 Mystery Seeds that I planted turned into:

2 Hops (Rare Type)
2 Thyme (Common Type)
2 Pumpkin (Common Type)
3 Garlic (Common Type)
2 Sage (Common Type)
1 Beetroot (Epic Type)

In the following images you can see all the seeds I planted for the fall season.

I am curious about the details of the Easter promotion and I am curious to find out whether my strategy of not selling crops for more than 5 seasons was a right or wrong strategy.

I have shown the operations I perform during the end of a season and during the beginning of a new season to show how simple it is to play on dCrops.

When the cooking feature will be implemented (it should not be long now) the game dynamics will become more extensive but for now dCrops is really a very simple game to play and most importantly requires little time to manage.

In conclusion I show you the prospectus I created to monitor the trend of the CROP token value season after season. In the table below you can see the calculation of the difference in value (in dollars and in HIVE) of the CROP tokens over a time interval of 13 days (March 8, 2023 - March 21, 2023).

The last 13 days have been positive for both HIVE and CROP tokens!

Il numero dei giochi Hive-based aumenta con il passare del tempo e questo è un aspetto molto positivo perchè vuol dire che Hive è viva e continua a ampliare i propri orizzonti di sviluppo e anche di possibilità di gioco.

Come appassionato di giochi blockchain con una particolare e naturale preferenza per i giochi Hive-base incomincio ad aver problemi di tempo per giocare a tutti i giochi in cui ho investito che per il momento sono 11 ma potrebbero aumentare di numero nei prossimi mesi... Fin quando potrò continuerò a giocare e a divertirmi al numero maggiore di Hive games e continuerò anche a pubblicare contenuti sul mio Hive blog.

Oggi stavo per dimenticarmi di:

verificare il completamento delle quests stagionali di dCrops
verificare se avevo crops maturi da raccogliere

Fortunatamente mi sono ricordato di accedere al gioco poche ore prima della fine della stagione.

Su dCrops il tempo è scandito dalle stagioni che sono le stesse della vita reale ma hanno una durata di 15 giorni. Vericare lo stato di completamento delle quest stagionali è la prima operazione che effettuo prima della fine della stagione perchè controllo se posso completare le quests ad ogni inizio stagione e poi faccio il claim delle ricompense a fine stagione o ad inizio della stagione successiva.

Oggi anche se mi fossi dimenticato di controllare le mie quests prima della fine della stagione non avrei avuto problemi perchè come puoi vedere dall'immagine seguente avevo solo 3 quest di tipo sell da completare.

Poteva essere un problema se avevo delle quest di tipo harvest relative a crops che richiedono 10-12 giorni di maturazione e se mi fossi dimenticato di fare l'harvest prima della fine della stagione non avrei potuto completare tutte le quest stagionali il che significa non ricevere le ricompense delle quests!

Avevo già controllato ad inizio stagione di avere 3 Thyme, 3 Peas e 2 Rosemary e oggi ho venduto questi crops dalla sezione Inventory di dCrops in cambio di 55 punti Shares.

Ho fatto subito il claim delle ricompense e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere quello che ho trovato all'interno di 12 forzieri.

Gli unici NFTs che possono essere venduti sul mercato sono gli NFTs Stone e 2 NFT Stone hanno un valore totale di mercato di 1 HIVE. Il valore della mia ultima ricompensa stagionale è stata inferiore rispetto alla media del valore delle precedenti ricompense ma gli elementi boosters e craft mi torneranno sicuramente utili in futuro.

La seconda operazione che effettuo prima della fine della stagione è controllare se ho crops maturi e non raccolti. Questa è un'operazione importante perchè se ci sono crops maturi e non effettuo il raccolto prima della fine della stagione perdo il raccolto e non posso più raccogliere i crops.

Nei miei plots avevo solo semi che hanno l'abilità di produrre crops più volte durante una stagione ma non potevo effettuare un ulteriore raccolto perchè il tempo di produzione era maggiore del tempo rimasto prima della fine della stagione.

Anche nella stagione estiva come nelle mie ultime 6 stagioni ho scelto come strategia di non vendere nessun crops al di fuori di quelli la cui vendita era necessaria per completare le quests stagionali.

Il motivo è semplice e l'ho condiviso anche nei miei precedenti post, voglio vendere la maggior parte dei crops che ho nel mio inventario durante la prossima promozione pasquale che è stata annunciata tempo fa da dCrops in un suo tweet (vedi screenshot seguente).

Anche se ho venduto solo 8 crops durante la stagione estiva posso comunque monitorare i miei progressi considerando:

il valore totale dei punti Shares dei crops che ho nel mio inventario
il valore della mia collezione di carte

Nella stagione estiva ho piantato 102 NFTs di tipo seme:

Ad inizio estate il mio inventario valeva 14570 punti Shares

Oggi 21 marzo 2023 il mio inventario ha un valore di 16963 punti Shares.

Ho quindi incrementato il valore del mio inventario di +2393 punti Shares in 15 giorni (precedente incremento: +2429 punti Shares).

Considerando i dati delle delle ricompense della Leaderboard in rapporto ai punti Shares ottenuti dai giocatori nella stagione estiva è possibile calcolare il valore in CROP di 1 punto Share facendo una semplice proporzione:

Se avessi venduto tutti i crops che ho raccolta durante al stagione estiva avrei ottenuto circa 2038.07 CROP il cui valore attuale di mercato (Highest Bid) è di 6.5422 SWAP.HIVE = 2.7085$.

Appena iniziata la nuova stagione ho richiesto le nuove quests stagionali.

Se sei un nuovo giocatore ricordati sempre di richiedere le nuove quests prima di piantare i semi per la nuova stagione perchè altrimenti potresti avere molte difficoltà a completare le quests ;)

Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere le nuove quests che ho ricevuto oggi e che devo completare durante la stagione autunnale.

Le quests possono essere di tre tipi:

Sell
Plant
Harvest

Le quests che richiedono di vendere i crops possono richiedere anche di vendere dei crops piantabili in stagioni diverse da quella attualmente in corso. Per questo motivo cerco di conservare un buon numero di crops nel mio inventario: 12 crops per ogni tipologia e rarità di crops.

La scorsa stagione sono stato abbastanza fortunato perchè potevo completare 6 quests su 7. In questa stagione sono stato nuovamente abbastanza fortunato perchè posso completare facilmente e di nuovo 6 sest su 7. L'unica quest che non posso completare è la sesta quest perchè non ho crops di tipo Corn nel mio inventario e non ho NFT Corn da piantare.

Devo quindi utilizzare la funzione Reroll, spendere 10 CROP e sperare di ricevere una nuova quest che posso completare.

La nuova quest mi chiede di piantare 4 Sunflower seeds ma anche questa quest non la posso completare. Nuovo Reroll!

Fortunatamente dopo il secondo reroll ricevo una quest che posso completare facilmente perchè ho 26 NFT Garlic nella mia collezione di carte.

L'ultima operazione che effettuo è piantare gli NFTs di tipo seme in mio possesso nei plots dei miei NFTs di tipo Land dalla sezione Farm di dCrops.

In questa stagione ho deciso di utilizzare i seguenti boosters:

3 Fertile Plus su 3 Awesome Land
10 Speed Grow su 7 Awesome Land e 3 Fertile Land

La stagione autunnale è l'unica stagione in cui non ho semi leggendari da piantare e per questo motivo ho deciso di piantare 12 mystery seeds sperando che almeno uno si trasformi in un seme leggendario anche se le probabilità che questo accada sono molto basse.

E infatti nessun mistery seed si è trasformato in un seme leggendario :(

Sono curioso di conoscere i dettagli della promozione pasquale e sono curioso di scoprire se la mia strategia di non vendere i crops per più di 5 stagioni è stata una strategia giusta o sbagliata.

Ho mostrato le operazioni che svolgo durante la fine di una stagione e durante l'inizio di una nuova stagione per mostrare quanto è semplice giocare su dCrops.

Quando sarà implementata la funzionalità di cooking (non dovrebbe mancare molto) le dinamiche di gioco diventeranno più ampie ma per il momento dCrops è davvero un gioco molto semplice da giocare e soprattutto richiede poco tempo per essere gestito.

In conclusione ti mostro il prospetto che ho creato per monitorare l'andamento del valore del token CROP stagione dopo stagione. Nel prospetto seguente puoi vedere il calcolo della differenza di valore (in dollari e in HIVE) dei token CROP in un intervallo di tempo di 13 giorni (8 marzo 2023 - 21 marzo 2023).

Gli ultimi 13 giorni sono stati positivi sia per HIVE che per i token CROP!
