Principles of Life

Honesty, not stealing, are two principles of life we should live by, right?

If that's so, answer me a quick question. In 3 seconds or less (without thinking about it), name one person who appears to be guided by those principles and is now steering the world in one way or another.

Did you find any? What are they doing? In which domain?

I asked myself the same question too. Maybe it's something wrong with the domains that quickly came to my mind as contenders for "running the world":

  • banks
  • corporate businesses
  • politicians

Each of them, at the organizational level, seems to have an issue with honesty. If in any such organization, an honest person advances through merit, at one point or another he or she is forced to lie (at least!) or the organization will find a way to exclude him or her from its ranks.

Stealing... Well, I believe it's almost the same thing, except stealing is often dissimulated as something else since it's incriminated by law.

I hope you'll be more successful than I was in your attempt to find the moral person that shapes our world.

I was prompted to write this post after reading this article. An influencer dumping a coin on his followers while he was shilling it. It looks like he wasn't the first one either. I learn a new expression today: "shill and dump". What do you think, does he (or she?) have the investment-bank-of-the-future material in him? Maybe Twitter should hire him since they are expanding into financial operations!

Of course, the followers who are stupid enough to listen to them deserve what happened to them.
