Otro evento de Bitcoin en Cuba buscando la adopción [ES-EN]
Desde hace más de una semana se había anunciado en Twitter un evento sobre Bitcoin en Cuba que aprovecharía la estancia de dos influencer extranjeros que siempre buscan generar la adopción a donde van. Pero hablamos de ellos más adelantes. Antes de ir hice un thread en Leofinance y no fueron los pocos los que se vieron renuentes al hecho de que muchos maximalistas fueran a ir. Siempre ha existido un choque entre maxis y Hiver, o quizás Maxis y cualquier otra cosa que no sea Bitcoin en general. Sino que le pregunten a @brianoflondon. Pero en Cuba las ganas de generar adopción superan esa brecha, tenemos nuestras diferencias en como pensamos, pero no cambia el hecho de que tenemos el mismo objetivo.
El hecho de que Bitcoin y las criptomonedas hayan abierto un sinfín de posibilidades para los cubanos nos une y mucho. Así que eventos enfocados en la adopción, ya sea sobre Bitcoin, Hive o cualquier blockchain que brinde utilidad es un paso más que logra la comunidad crypto cubana y entre todos nos apoyamos. Con esta idea llegué en mente y con esta idea me fui, así de bien la pasamos. El evento comenzó con una introducción de Forte, parte de los organizadores, que hablo de lo que Bitcoin representa y los patrocinadores del evento.

For over a week, an event on Bitcoin in Cuba had been announced on Twitter that would take advantage of the stay of two foreign influencers who always seek to generate adoption wherever they go. But we'll talk about them later. Seguido a ello hablo Joe Nakamoto, uno de los influencers que les hablaba, quien es periodista de Cointelegraph. Hablo sobre lo que es Bitcoin para él y de como por ello ha viajado a muchos lugares enseñándole a la gente sobre ello. Hizo además una demostración de Bitcoin Lightning enviándole sats a una muchacha que no conocía de ello y luego ella le envió a otra persona en un pais africano donde Bitcoin es ilegal, así que esta parte fue un poco cómica por ese hecho. Cuan fácil es para un gobierno decir que Bitcoin u otra moneda es ilegal pero no puedes hacer mucho por evitar su uso.
Luego de esta conferencia le pedí una foto a Joe, siempre que ando con mi cámara le hago retratos a las personas en vez de un selfie donde salga yo también. Cosas de fotógrafos que siempre andamos detrás de las cámaras. Y ya no atendí casi a ninguna otra conferencia porque llegaron varios hivers como @crptogeek, @ylaffittep, @newnow497, @ertytux y otros, así que me puse a conversar con ellos. Pero de todas maneras el contenido no sería algo nuevo para mí, si se me paso ver la charla de Paco de la India, el otro influencer, que viaja por el mundo hablando de Bitcoin y ya son 29 los países que ha estado. ¿Se imaginan que me fuese por muchos países hablando de Hive? Estaría genial.

After that I talked to [Joe Nakamoto](https://twitter.com/JoeNakamoto), one of the influencers who was talking, who is a journalist from Cointelegraph. He talked about what Bitcoin is for him and how he has traveled to many places teaching people about it. He also did a demonstration of Bitcoin Lightning by sending sats to a girl who didn't know about it and then she sent it to another person in an African country where Bitcoin is illegal, so this part was a little funny because of that fact. How easy it is for a government to say that Bitcoin or another currency is illegal but you can't do much to prevent its use.
After this conference, I asked Joe for a photo, every time I walk around with my camera I take portraits of people instead of a selfie where I also appear. Things of photographers who are always behind the cameras. And I hardly attended any other conference because several hivers like @crptogeek, @ylaffittep, @newnow497, @ertytux, and others arrived, so I started talking to them. Y así fue como casi una especie de reunión de Hiver sucedio en medio de todo aquello. Hablamos desde como mejorar la adopción hasta como Hive puede ser mejor en muchos sentidos. Creo que tenemos que irnos un dia de copas o a por unas pizzas y sentarnos con tiempo a hablar de todo. Siempre salen buenas ideas. La mejor noticia la tiene @crptogeek, pero todavía no es momento de darla, pero le dijeron Si a todo jajaja.

And that's how almost like a Hive meetup happened in the middle of all that. We talked about how to improve adoption to how Hive can be better in many ways. I think we should go for drinks or pizzas one day and sit down and talk about everything. Good ideas always come out. The best news has @crptogeek, but it's not time to give it yet, but they said Yes to everything lol.
Ya terminado el evento la gente como que no quería irse, mas que escuchar una conferencia nos gusta conversar sobre esos temas y ahi estábamos, pasadas las 4 de la tarde pero hablando y hablando. Aproveche para pedirle un retrato a Paco y así quedaron ambos frente a mi lente. Poco después de esa foto, Paco se nos unió en la conversación que estábamos teniendo, se toco el tema de Hive y nos dijo que hubo incluso un momento en el que le hablaron de ello para que se uniera y ganara haciendo videos. No le gusta este tipo de cosas pero entiende que desde Cuba no tenemos forma de ganar en Bitcoin y esto pasa con muchos otros países.
Incluso le hice una transferencia de 0.5 HBD usando V4V y al le llego en BTC Lightning, esa no la conocía. Durante esa conversación Joe me llamo aparte para hacerme una pequeña entrevista sobre como uso Bitcoin en Cuba. Le hable de las posibilidades que nos brinda por el hecho de poder pagar servicios o productos que desde Cuba normalmente no podemos como Amazon u otros. Luego me pregunta como obtenía Bitcoin y ahí tuve que hablar de Hive, cuanto me permitía Hive como creador de contenido. Ahh, se me olvidaba, Paco regalo algunos pullovers de Bitcoin y a cada rato llegaban con un sticker nuevo, que ya algunos están pegadas a mi laptop.

After the event people didn't seem to want to leave, we like to talk about those topics more than listen to a conference and there we were, past 4 pm but talking and talking. I took the opportunity to ask Paco for a portrait, so we both ended up in front of my lens. A little after that photo, Paco joined in on the conversation we were having, the topic of Hive came up and he told us that there was even a moment where they talked to him about joining and earning by making videos. He doesn't like this type of thing but understands that from Cuba we don't have a way to earn in Bitcoin, which happens in many other countries.
I even made a 0.5 HBD transfer using V4V and when it arrived in BTC Lightning, he didn't know that. During that conversation, Joe called me aside for a small interview about how I use Bitcoin in Cuba. I talked to him about the possibilities it gives us because we can pay for services or products that from Cuba we normally can't like Amazon or others. Then he asked me how I got Bitcoin and there I had to talk about Hive, how much it allowed me as a content creator. Oh, I forgot, Paco gave away some Bitcoin sweaters and every now and then someone would come with a new sticker, some of which are already stuck to my laptop.
