Today, we are going to talk about an app I think we need today. Or, at least, I think it's very useful to curious people like myself.

In all honesty, with the rise of AI and the mind-blowing tech we see every day, it can be really challenging to fathom something that could be considered "useful" and has not already been made and is in regular usage by people.

Take a second to think about something you need—that would function as an app to help you—in this moment and look it up on the App Store or Google Play, if it doesn't already exist. That's exactly the point. The visible window of innovation does seem to get slimmer every day.

But what did that man—that I don't give a snicker about—say about solutions? That they also create new problems, too. Well, this one isn't exactly a problem. I just digressed a bit over there.

Have you ever wondered how there's the possibility of sending signals that our eyes and ears can perceive but not much (or any at all) for the nose, tongue, and skin? I mean, video calls, phone calls, music, and all that help us experience things in different places from anywhere with our eyes and ears. But we can't smell, taste, or feel what happens on the other side of the call.

I thought the transmission of olfactory signals between places with a distance between them could be useful and applicable. I mean, think about it; think about the possibilities.

Imagine being able to send the scent of your freshly baked cookies, muffins, or chocolate bread, or the scent of some new perfume you just got, to someone very far away. They would have to wait until they were around to share the experience. They'd be in sync with such technology to be able to send them across. Let's call this tech, ScentSync.

Ideally, ScentSync would capture scent and digitize it, and then one could send it across the globe to a fellow ScentSync user that could receive the digitized scent and then have the tech deliver the scents.

Of course, it would require the appropriate hardware, like sensors, actuators, controllers, and modules, but the big brain would be the app, the ScentSync app.

Not only would one be able to capture scent live and share it with people, but one would also be able to make their own custom scent on the app and share it as well.

There would be a Scent Library where there would be a wide range of scents to create different aroma profiles. One could share a custom-made aroma profile with someone else, and they could indulge in one's scent creativity.

The possibilities with this technology, Scentsync, are limitless. It could be applied in a wide variety of fields, including entertainment, marketing, healthcare, and stuff. Another would be needing to verify one's appeal to the scent of a perfume they may be interested in.

I know ScentSync seems like a futuristic concept, but with the fast advancement in our technology these days, and the evolution we are experiencing, it really doesn't seem far-fetched, even though it clearly isn't straightforward. The concept seems promising to me.
