While browsing around APMEX I ran into these interesting micro gold bills. Apparently in Utah in 2011 a law was passed making certain small amounts of gold legal tender in the state. So an innovative company came up with a way to put exactly 1/1000th of a troy ounce of gold in between layers of durable polyester. They use a vacuum deposition system to make them (whatever that is) and are independently lab verified to be the exact amount stated. Essentially it's gold in a bill form, kind of a cool idea. I don't own any of these, but I just found it to be a very clever concept!

They have produced them for several states including Utah, Wyoming, Nevada and New Hampshire. They all have native American motif and are pretty cool to look at, plus they're gold. Not much gold, but they are gold. So when the apocalypse comes and zombies roam the streets you won't have to carry sacks of gold coins, you can pull out your wallet and pay for things with your goldbacks!

As cool as the concept is I'm not sure I'm going to buy into these, but you have to give them credit for innovation!

And my disclaimer: Gold and silver stacking can be a fun hobby but isn't for everyone. You can lose money. I'm not a financial advisor and this isn't financial advice, please always do your own research before spending your hard earned money.
