Here is some data on the HIVE Power UP. We know that a lot of the ex Steemians are selling STEEM for HIVE and some of that is powered up. Let’s see how are power up doing on the blockchain.

We will be looking at:

• HIVE Powered up by date
• Power UP operations by date
• Top 20 Accounts that powered up

The period that we will be looking here is March 21 till May 7, 2020.

HIVE Powered up by date

Here is the chart for the HIVE powered up by date.

A total of 11,739,673 HIVE was powered up in the period.

What can be noticed from the chart above is that around April 24th the amount of daily HIVE powered up dropped. If we take a look at the HIVE price chart we will notice that around that time the HIVE price started its bull run reaching 1$ in the next few days. This caused less users to power up as a lot of them wanted to catch the massive increase in price. The average daily HIVE powered up until April 24th is around 300k, and after that is around 90k daily. Although we can see that it show some signs for up trend in the last days.

The above is in terms of stake. But how many operations for powering up was made. Big and small accounts.

Here is the chart.

We can see a clear increase in the number of daily power up operations after the Hard Fork, from around 400 to 700 daily operations with a record number of 935 power up operations on April 9th. Here as well we can see a slight drop in the number of operations just after the price of HIVE increased on April 24th. The average daily power up operation after April 24th is around 520.

@blocktrades is on the top with almost 1.5 million HIVE powered up, followed by @darthknight with 927k and @smooth-a with 800k HIVE powered up.
