Now that I look at it again, trending feels really spammy too lol Maybe that's why I pretty much never look at it :P

From what I can see Trending is sorting by amount of replies/engagement, but the payouts on them are really low... If more people voted on those it would look a bit more interesting to outsiders and newbs #threads #thinkingoutloud
