Frenchman Claude Makelele the former Chelsea midfielder has been appointed to take the technical role at the football club.

Claude who win back to title under Jose Mourinho in 2004 and 2005 now offered a job as a Young player Technical Mentor after Peter Cech was appointed as the club Football Director.

He joined Chelsea from Real Madrid in 2003, he won every domestic honour in his five seasons at the club - two Premier League titles, two League Cups and an FA Cup - before moving to PSG were he ended his playing career.

He said for him its good to be back home, Chelsea gave him a lot and he's here to give back everything has to the Club, for the love the club showed to him while he was here.
