Crypto & steem emotions !
We are emotional human beings and a lot of things in our lives are related to our emotions.
Knowing about that fact some of us try to use that to manipulate our behaviour. This could be practiced in real life of in the web. Our activity online is also a kind of life we have.
Even in cryto world now, a lot use emotions of the masses to speculate. The speculation can be about the recent of the future price of the currency or about the blockchain itself.
The main cryptocurrency is bitcoin of course. If you check the news of bitcoin in the media, when most news are positive the price increase and when most news are negative the price drop. There are two types of news in this case, news telling people about that bitcoin is not the right thing to invest in and speading negativity about cryptocurrencies in general or news telling that their bitcoin is the real one like bitcoin cash and bitcoin sv are doing and other forks.
Talking about other altcoins, each altcoin has it's own story, each one has a thing specialized in. It can be privacy, building apps, security, methode of payment or anything else. The altcoin creators choose usually a field and try to show the word that they are the best in that to make them invest in their ecosystem. They can also use emotions by telling people that competitors are doing worse or just write that they are more professional and can do better than others, or maybe they just create what's demanded in the market or just target a niche. Then spreading positive news about their creations and negative ones about their competitors is the way to go. It's that easy, they just have to have professional people doing that.
There is also an other manupulation and use case of the emotions of the crowd. The creators of an altcoin put a lot of money in it, make it in the top of coinmarketcap, paying the site for that or just listing it everywhere in exchanges and when people see it in the top, they think that's there isn't better than this coin, while of they look among other coins with lower ranking, they can find them even better or suit more their needs.
The same is about the social blockchains. There are a lot of them and steem is leading for the moment. Because it's higher in the price and it's easier to make money with it. Of course because it has the best applications as well. That's why our applications are always in the top in curated directories of dapps. In this case we are not manipulating anyone and we just created the best platforms for social interactions. And those applications are all evoke positive emotions. That's why our community is excited about our blockchain. It's real !
Coming to the situation with tron. Justin Sun baught only one application, but he and he's team are thinking that they baught all the steem blockchain, while it's impossible to do. Because steem blockchain is not owned by a company but by all steem community, inclusing witnesses, creators, curators and developers. We have big stake holders as well who we call whales. That's why our blockchain is so exceptional.
So, since tron people know that they baught only one application, but not all the blockchain, they are trying to split our community on those who will prefer to move to their blockchain just because they have more marketcap, more money and more followers in one twitter account of their leader ( I don't know about their other social activity, I just don't see tron community that active in twitter and other social media ). And on others who keep supporting steem and knowing that being on the original blockchain where they invested time and money is much better. I'm sure that we have more dedicated steemians than others who prefer to move to unknow blockchain.
They don't understand that most of us are here because steem is mostly making us interested in crypto. If not steem most of us will not be here. We just found the alternative of all other social media who are selling the data of users and not respecting their privacy. We are not sure that tron will provide that privacy that steem is providing us. We are here for years and we learned enough about steem and we are not interested to move somewhere else. We like all our features like upvotes, downvotes, delegations and others. We are not sure that everything will be the same in tron, they can turn the token that they are planning to craate, just like a kind of tip. We are not here for tips. We have an exclusive way to reward and to be rewarded !
So, using the fact that they have more money or investors will not make steemians run to their blockchain right away. They will not manupulate us using our emotions or psychological tricks. We learned enough here about communication, understanding people and building a real community. It's not only about our emotions to steem, but also the money and the time we invested here and the energy we put.
I'm sure that steem blockchain will survive because I trust in our community !
