The events that occurred in the last hours on the STEEM blockchain have the community truly dismayed, due to the decisions taken, both by the 20 main witnesses implementing the Soft Fork (SF), and the response of @justinsunsteemit, which gives it control of the platform.
For me it has been necessary to read a large number of publications, to try to understand what is happening, and to try to give my personal opinion about this case.
These days everything has been written, from the resignation of three main members of the steemit.inc team, to expressions of fear, panic, disappointment, those who are against and in favor of the action taken by @justinsunsteemit, there are also the most radical they affirm that the measure was necessary because of the attitude of the witnesses.
Soft fork.
Is this measure really justified? It is said that the argument of the witnesses to implement the measure was to have a guarantee to protect the community from alterations that they wanted to implement on the platform, it was like having insurance to discuss the Steemit's future, expose his arguments at a meeting that was already scheduled in advance.
In my opinion what the witnesses implemented was a hostile measure, and Justin himself interpreted it, if I intend to negotiate with someone who has just bought a company, where he has just invested an amount of money, no matter what our differences, I think that it is best to approach with a conciliatory tone, I do not kick the testicles and then invite him to talk.
With all due respect to the witnesses, I think that this is not the way to talk, negotiate with you while I have you by the balls, to try to impose my ideas, that generates hostility and that is what ended up happening.

It is said that Justin's decision and subsequent action is arbitrary, totalitarian, damaging and taxable. I wonder: Isn't it the same as the witnesses did when making the decision to freeze the funds without consulting with the person who just bought part of the company?
A clear demonstration of power, the witnesses tried to make their power felt and Justin reacted to this fact, the question is: What would you do instead of Justin, or what would you do instead of the main witnesses?
I am not trying to justify or vindicate the actions taken by any of those involved, I just try to put myself in place of each of the parties to try to give an objective opinion of what is happening.
Consequences.
To see the consequences of all this we must wait, I think we must act sensibly, with a lot of poise and common sense, of course I do not have large amounts of money at risk to be frightened, however, I have learned to value this platform, but she of the dividends she can receive from her.
There are people who have already started shutting down to withdraw their money from the platform, some say it is the end of STEEM as we knew it, that the witnesses will reveal themselves and will begin a fork of the STEEM chain.
