Well a busy weekend is behind me. A weekend in which I even didn't take the time to create a post. Not even an Appics or Actifit post. So needless to say that I do had more or less a steem detox during the weekend.

Football

The weekend started like so many of them with Football. This time the oldest son did participate at a tournament. For him it was fun, although they didn't win a game. He did play with a selection of the 3 U12 teams we do have. Playing under another coach with other players did free him. He did play his best games of 2020. More important than one can think of, because soon the teams for next season will be formed. So making an impression on another coach is crucial at this moment in time.

Dinner

We also had some dinner with friends on Saturday evening. We went to a steakhouse. But for once it was more or less a disappointment. We did eat chateaubriand but to out liking the slices were to thick! Regardless of that it was a great evening.

Birthday party

On sunday we did have the birthday party of our youngest son for the family. The party for his friends is next saturday! So it was a busy sunday preparing the party. Arranging the house, some small cleaning while the misses was preparing the food. There were 30 people, so it was crowded in house. Our living room is big enough to seat them all. But it seems that with the age it is harder for me to cope with all the bysiness in house.

Also a strange sunday for a lot of people in our area. Lot's of people are celebrating carnaval, but due to the winds almost all carnaval parades were cancelled. A wise decision, but I do feel with the people who are preparing this for almost a year.

Which bring me to the weather. While winter should be in full force, it seems that we are in still in fall. Storm after storm is passing by, and surprisingly they all come by on Sunday! It feels like the wind will never stop! And his friend rain is always his wingman. Pretty tired about this weather and it starts to have an impact on the mood. Due to carnaval it is also a quiet day at the office. So time enough to think things over.

Softfork

While I do understand completely what the outcome of the softfork exactly is, but as far as I understand it, it looks like the witnesses have froozen the stakes of Sun. If this is the case, I am not really in favor of this action. How would you feel, that after a purchase the good that you have bought are made useless by others, who weren't directly involved in the deal. I can imagine that it would feel like you are being robed. We all agree that the witnesses should protect the steem blockchain and should have the best intentions for all. But I do think that this move was too bold. Probably this was the result of the news that sun did vote on some Tron super representatives. But making a complete stake of a steem holder completely unusable it just one bridge to far. Maybe making his stake unusable for voting would be enough. But by also freezing the stake from powering down is just keeping money as ransome! We are always talking and discussing about principles, so how does this action have a place in that discussion!

I don't think that Sun would feels welcomed by the steem community! I could imagine that he does sees this as a hostile action against him personally! Again the question how would you feels to others take a decision about a 10M purchase you just made. Guess I will have to run over my witnesses again to see their opinion about this move. Just casted an extra witness vote for a witness who was against this softfork!

What message do we send out the other people who do wants to invest into Steem. You are free to purchase steem and use it at own force as long as we do approve your actions? Come on, get real!
