When I started my journey i didn't know most of the members even who developed core projects on steem maintains fake identity. So I got off with my real name and photo.

Remember MC Lovin from super bad? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

I mentioned my country, city here on profile from the beginning and fortunately it's alot easier to connect with fellow country people and learn about this space fastly.

It's made people to trust and recognise me easily and some of them even connected me on main stream social medias.

I consider my self 80% author and 20% investor on STEEM. So as it's really needed to grow my followers/ audience to get rewarded for my work here. As didn't used bidbots aggressively even before #newsteem, my real identity + work easily gave me attention I needed while in beginning.

But it got me worried when I learned that most of the people don't reveal their identity and maintance secrecy. I doubted myself am I giving too much information or what? With out totally knowing this type of platform with money+ speculations+anonymous people? A never before experience for me.

So I stayed calm for few days and started learning about steem and joined telegram group, then I got relaxed as I was surfing here and see some most active High stake holders like @exyle @theycallmedan thriving with popularity and good followers with their real identity.

Also feel more connected to steem when joined #seven77 movement by @nathanmars where members actually coming out to do task and posting on twitter. It's really boosted my confidence about the platform seeing how members are concerned and caring this wonderful opportunity.

As of now around 10 months here is, if you are totally investor then t here might be need to maintain different identity if you don't want to get attention for your money and activities here.

If you are an author, content creator and you want increase your following at every thing you do , it's better maintain real identity here.

I have understand as long as you want how much information about youself want to share here and what type of business, work you do decides the buzz around your personality here. And being anonymous is not a bad thing either.

If you are posting political stuff , are if there are history of threats you faced because the kind of content you create then absolutely it's necessary to be like that to protect yourself.

But most of the time people here are very much open minded, liberal , shower kindness mostly care about your work here than your investment.

If you are a good artist , steem is always rewards you what you deserve. If you are investor, this is the best time with #newsteem to invest here as curation is rewarding as much as creating content.

Happy Steeming.
