I don't use this account for posting, I usually only use it for curating SteemLeo and occasionally, TalkingPoint but I wanted to make a post so I could collect the @steemitboard badges. This account has a tiny SP but I proxy-voted for witnesses with it anyway and I want all the accounts I use to make the same statement.

The badges look like this:

If you want to get these for your steemit board, you'll see the comments that my downvotes bring or take a look here: https://steemit.com/steemitboard/@steemitboard/downvote-challenge-add-up-to-3-funny-badges-to-your-board Figure out which posts to downvote and happy hunting!

On to other matters:

Not your keys: not your crypto is a phrase we hear often enough and this last week brought that subject into the spotlight here on Steem and generally in crypto as exchanges did the unthinkable: powered up customer funds and used them to interfere in governance of a DPOS chain. Only sustained efforts via Twitter and in the Crypto media brought enough negative publicity for two of the exchanges concerned to remove their votes.

Right now, Justin Sun and CZ of Binance appear to be paving the way on Twitter for a justification of Binance once more meddling in our decentralised chain by voting. They are claiming that witnesses are preparing to freeze the exchanges hot wallets.

Take a look here: https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1236338999549136897

While I considered the freezing of the steemit inc accounts a drastic action, in the light of this news article, https://www.ccn.com/why-is-justin-sun-lying-to-tron-holders-follow-the-money/

on 19 February, this happened on the tron network https://cointelegraph.com/news/tron-community-in-uproar-as-genesis-coins-used-in-super-reps-vote I had to concede that until we had more information, these actions were in the interests of the decentralised community.

The interesting thing to note here is that Binance exchange has a major stake on the Tron network and, look how they acquired it: https://beincrypto.com/binance-freezes-12-billion-trx-votes-itself-into-tron-super-representative-top-spot/

I have no doubt that Binance has similar intentions for Steemit. Get out there on Twitter and make your voice heard, our community is in as much danger as ever from these predators
