Back when I first started to learn about HF21 I really thought it would not work out very well. For those of us at the minnow stage and lower, curating rewards really don't amount to much. The new focus on rewards from curating just did not make sense to me.

I guess I also just did not believe that the big accounts would change their behaviors much so I thought it would not help people like me with a relatively small account.

Luckily I think I was wrong!

I have noticed that my author rewards have gone up a lot since HF21 despite the drop to 50% rewards. The reason is I'm getting more upvotes from bigger accounts then I had in the past. I have also seen multiple posts from big accounts talking about switching back to manual curation.

This is a fantastic change and I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone that is doing this.

I know it has helped @wildhomesteading grow a bunch and I'm much more excited to post on a regular basis now that the posts are getting more traction. I've never powered down my SP so all my rewards are going to help me and the community grow (I give away SBI on a weekly basis to people that stand out to me in any give week--no posts about this I just do it in the background).

I have been making daily posts now for around 10 days. The consistent rewards are making me much more willing to take some time each day to make a new post.

On my own end I have switched to manual curating content and I also stopped self-voting. My account is not big so I'm not sure how much a difference that really makes but it feels good. I'm also learning more about the various tribes and I'm enjoying focusing more on the tribes that fit my regular content.

I still have a lot to learn about the tribes but I'm really enjoying being a regular part of the @naturalmedicine tribe plus some other tribes. Though natural medicine seems to fit my content the best. Plus there are a lot of great posts being shared in that tribe!

So thank you all for manually curating plus the other great initiatives on STEEM right now. I'm enjoying #newsteem a lot and I hope these positive trends continue!
