Chapter 5 of Battlefield V: The War of the Pacific
It all started with Battlefield 1942, and more recently, with Battlefield 1943. Players checked the conflict over land, sea and air in Iwo Jima, as only Battlefield could do. This October 31, for the first time in ten years, DICE brings players back to the Pacific war that took place in World War II with the launch of Chapter 5 of Battlefield V: The Pacific War.
The memorable maps that will begin Chapter 5 will be Iwo Jima and Pacific Storm. Iwo Jima will offer a dynamic experience in which American and Japanese forces will fight in very open environments formed by black beaches that will lead to this combate all or nothing ’combat. For its part, and offering a more aquatic combat, the Pacific Storm map will take players to extreme weather located on a set of islands that must be protected through different control points using ships, tanks or airplanes.

Chapter 5 of Battlefield V:
The Pacific War will include:- New maps: Iwo Jima, Pacific Storm and in December Wake Island
- New factions: United States and Japan
- New weapons, including the M1 Garand and the M1919A6
- New vehicles, including the M4 Sherman tank and the F4U Corsair plane
- New stationary weapons
- New equipment like a Katana or Flamethrower
- New rewards, such as weapons, soldier equipment, aspects of weapons and melee weapons
Among the new weapons available, we see that we can wield the katana and a powerful flamethrower. These elements will give us enormous advantages in combat and are two objects that we can take in battle, offering a different style of play than seen so far in Battlefield V. In addition, the emblematic M1 Garand rifle makes its appearance in Battlefield V, something that many Players have been asking since the game's launch.
