If you’re not aware of the recent acquisition of Steemit Inc. by Tron, then go and get informed here. Many people have doubts about what this will actually mean for the community so Justin Sun and Ned Scott broadcasted a live session to “explain” and “answer questions” on what this was about.

Turns out that a big chunk of the session was about their personal lives, describing Steemit and Tron for people who know nothing about these networks and NOT answering most of the questions that the people who took the time to be there had.

When they finally went into answering questions they picked one from Twitter, another one form YouTube and another one from the crowd that had millions of questions for them.

After a while Justin Sun did answer a few more questions posted in the chat but in such a poor way that he might as well have stayed silent. For example, people were awfully anxious about knowing what would happen with SMTs (Smart Media Tokens) and not only did he call them MTS like 10 times but answered something like:

“Yeah, we will be doing that… we have been doing that for so long so I don’t see why not”.

What a great answer, my God, that just shows how much he knows about what goes on here and his elaborate plans to help it thrive. No to mention he kept saying “Steemy” instead of Steemit.

Overall I left with the impression that there is no plan behind this other than making money and perhaps some marketing to pump the coins. No community vision, no user experience improvements, no leadership whatsoever. Oh yeah, we are going to have like a million gambling sites on where to spend our posting rewards!

The good part is that Justin Sun bought Steemit and not the Steem blockchain. Which means that all dapps that remain loyal tho Steem will keep going the same way as before. Steemit is just a frontend that shows the content of the Steem blockchain but we have many others that are doing a way better job such as SteemPeak and eSteem.

I found this post that says that all this was a clever wordplay to make it seem like Tron was absorbing Steem, which is not the case. Read it for more info as it answers more questions than this silly AMA session.

Guess nobody ended satisfied with this
