March 2018. No Facebook. No Twitter. No Instagram.Zero social media activity. Fascinated by blockchain technology and ready to get involved, I decide to subscribe to steemit.Long waiting time and after a few weeks I become my digital identity presents itself to the world. Born @serialfiller. A nickname that had always fascinated me and that I had used sporadically in the past in some forums and things like that. The etymology comes from my great passion for the world of TV series. "Serial" comes from there. "Filler" also. The latter is just a type of so-called "filler" episode that detaches itself from the horizontal plot of the TV series itself, generating an episode that is very detached from the general tone and the main story. I thought to tie them to recall the word "serialkiller", the main term of the first TV series I fell in love with over 10 years ago: Dexter. For those who didn't know it, the protagonist Dexter Morgan was called the serialkiller of serial killers. Here's why @serialfiller immediately seemed to me a perfect name, identity. And that's exactly the identity that I wanted to show you all here on steemit. A great fan of TV series, and cinema, with a great desire to write and sometimes go off the TV and cinema tracks. I was lucky enough to come across a small but granite Italian community right away. As an Italian this was very important. It allowed me to quickly understand the dynamics of this platform and to become more and more curious about the cryptovalute and blockchain universe. Today I am no longer part of that community. Also this event, very disappointing and brutal, has allowed me to grow and has been a great teaching. I had good times, I learned a lot and met very good users, or rather very good people. When I realized that in that space there was room for very few things that I thought were important for the future I started to propose and polemicize almost daily. The clash was inevitable and that parenthesis ended dramatically. I don't regret that event, nor do I regret the time spent organizing projects, bringing ideas forward, getting to know users. A beautiful and important chapter in my steemit path but as every chapter has had its end. My wish for myself is to continue writing this book that I started almost 2 years ago.But what were the most important pages of this novel? A novel of formation in some ways. A curious person, who had never used a social before. A boy who plunged into the dense woods made of 1 and zero and who tried to have his say. Constancy is the one that still keeps me going and makes me look at my future on steemit with optimism. In 2 years I wrote every day. I think I've only "skipped" 4-5 days. When I think back to everything I've published, I get chills. I look at all that river of digital ink with pride but also with some skepticism. On the one hand, I'm proud to have discovered that I have so much to say, so many things to talk about. On the other hand, I wonder if all that time spent behind a keyboard has actually been used in the best way. It's a question that has often puzzled me. Sometimes I thought about leaving this platform because I didn't think it was paying back enough of my efforts. In these 2 years I have accumulated about 15000 steems. More or less earned thanks to my posts and with some unimportant investments on my part. I have reached almost 1000 followers and found some users with whom I can exchange opinions and design projects on steemit. On the other hand, however, I found the participation in my posts to be minimal and the earnings to be derisory. To think that 2 years ago steem was worth 50 times more than now leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Thinking that on posts that I thought were excellent often there was interaction, nothing disappointed me. They are small pages, paragraphs of this novel of mine. A novel that had as a minimum common denominator the passion for cinema and television. I discovered the @jayplaco project and the tokens aaa and jjm led by the @virus707 account, tokens that I recommend everyone to buy or earn. I discovered the vision of @fedesox and its mstk project aimed at stimulating interaction between users. I created niche projects together with @ilnegro, an extraordinary user with whom we have been carrying on @storychain within the Italian community for over 1 year. Together with him I plunged into a new collective experience called @steempossible and brought to everyone's attention with the @themagazine account. Many beautiful bittersweet challenges, like this whole adventure. Sweetest sensation to discover that you are so sweet.Very bitter that gap that has often been created between the offer in terms of content and interaction, the reaction of the audience.I have learned that we are all here first and foremost to look for profit. A lesson I learned from my own failures. People who were attracted to a project but abandoned it even before it started because it brought a few steems in their wallet. So much courage in the preparation of an idea, of a project but that immediately vanished when the highest bidder showed up. An interesting microcosm that in my opinion represents an important image of our fluid, disintegrated and increasingly impersonal society. Steemit, however, offered me the chance to better understand some sides of myself. My passions. My ability to transmit them. To tell them. I discovered I was able to interact with the world, to focus things from my personal and special point of view. I have discovered that I am not alone in some things and that I am even more alone than I thought in others. Steemit, however, has become an integral and fundamental part of my quotidinianeity. Even now, as I'm writing this post for @theycallmedan, I realize that I'm acting as steemit, that I'm taking time away from something else to write an article for all of you, but maybe especially for me. Perhaps more than a training novel, this experience represents a journey. A journey that has led me to discover new destinations and that could last much longer or be a starting point to explore something else. The present is called steemit, the future will still be called @serialfiller, wherever there is an Earth fertile enough to allow me to put some roots, a bit like Dr. Manhattan all alone on Mars had managed to do.

Marzo 2018. No Facebook. No Twitter. No Instagram. In 2 anni ho scritto tutti i giorni. In questi 2 anni ho accumulato circa 15000 steem.
