About time we had some positivity from the media hurled our way. It seems the buzz around the latest hardfork 21 isn't only confined to Steemit. Major crypto media websites are also getting the word out, with the likes of Coindesk, PRNewswire and Cryptopolitan getting involved. The hype train speeds up that little bit more.

Ever heard of that saying "All news is good news"? Well, I'll take this for what it is. The STEEM blockchain has been berated and chastized for far too long, which has proven to be one of a few huge drains on the overall growth of the platform. Investor confidence is at an all-time low as can be seen by the daily volume numbers. But that doesn't mean this will always be the case.

Technically, we are head and sholuders above most of the top 100. We all know that but the external crypto masses don't. A significant change in sentiment is required and these latest developments are providing some much-meeded hope in that respect. The mantra of "70% lay offs" are fading fast. Thank the dear lord for that. But it's not over yet, by a long shot.

If we've got the eyes on our current actions, we must ensure that the change over to this new economic model does what is says on the tin. Restores balance on Steemit and encourages "good" behaviour on the blockchain. The transition must be smooth and impressive to the watchful eye of the crypto media. If the ball has started rolling, momentum needs to be gathered. All steps thus far are potentially leading to a very favourable outcome, if things work out from here on.

I realize there are more than enough people here worried about the impending hardfork. I can't deny, I'm one of them. But if it's an inevitablity for the blockchain then I guess embracing it would be more productive for us in the longer term and thus learning to work with it rather than against it. I'll modify my actions on the blockchain in parrallel to the changes made. I hope we also do the same and allow the bigger voices outside to sing our praises for once instead of critizise and admonish. Fingers crossed things go according to plan. Only 11 days left now...
