PI Coin - Is THIS how you do mass adoption on the blockchain?
A while ago I wrote this post about a cryptocurrency called Pi, Pi Chain, Pi Coin... the Pi Network. It's a fairly simple concept this one - if you have a mobile, you can mine this coin. If you have a larger network of miners in your team you can earn more and this also increases the security of trust in the system. Well, that is how it is marketed by the clever students who developed the up-coming blockchain.
Often we lament the lack of 'mass adoption' on the blockchain, and particularly here on Steem. Mass adoption is seen as the holy grail of success - onboard the masses and we will be successful! It is my hope and my gut feeling that Steem will do this (it needs a killer app or use) and I see SMTs a silver bullet here. Time will tell... anyway, back to Pi. What they have done is made it supremely simple to mine the coin. Just download the app!
