Introduction

The advent of Steem-engine in Steem ecosystem is likely a big leap forward in order to enhance a second layer economy and to make the use-case more specified and organized. As we all know, the tribalism is really picking up in Steem. Through the use of Smart contract anyone can create a tribe and the sub-communities can further manage it in a professional way.

In the last 1.5 months or so we have many tribes with the major ones being PAL, LEO, NEOXAG, STEM, SCT, etc and many more to come in future. The users can use specific tags(if their post is relevant to the specific frontend) and can get their post curated and as a result along with STEEM coin, they can get an opportunity to earn other tribes/tokens.

Existing Problem Interface in curation management

On the curation part, the existing problem interface is-- whenever someone votes from Steem account, then it also automatically upvotes in other front ends (if the user has some staked tokens in other front-ends--for example palnet or steemleo or neoxian or steemgeeks). So it exercises the staked power of those tribes/tokens and most of the time the curator go unnoticed about it. On the other hand, if the curator will curate from the respective front ends then it will be time consuming and hectic. This problem will further get complex when we will have a significant number of tribes going down the line. Therefore it is really difficult for a curator to manage & exercise the staking power in these tribes individually.

The other problem also includes- those users in Steemit who have enabled "sell vote" features are also automatically voting a post in other tribes(if the post is tagged of those tribes).

The Existing Solution

In past, it was suggested creating an alternate account (for example milaan.leo or milaan.pal) and delegate the staked power to those accounts and then curate the posts in different frontends to make the curation effective and can also be managed individually.

The above solution is really working good. But that may seem like a temporary solution. The reason being-- we don't have just two tribes and as on date there are various popular tribes and front ends and a user may not find it easy to create "n" number of alt accounts with .xxx suffix and delegate the staked power to these accounts and then curate.

So the management of staked power in different tribes is really an issue and this will further become complex in the future. Therefore, we need a unified solution for curation management.

The Proposed Solution

I am not a geek, so please forgive me if I am uttering non-sense and what I am saying may not even be a solution which is technically possible. But I have some thoughts on it and hence I am sharing it here.

Why not a separate front end be created which is exclusively dedicated to curation management. Suppose a user has staked power in different tribes along with SP(Say in PAL Power, LEO Power, NEOXAG Power, STEM Power, etc)and the users may have a different amount of tokens staked in different tribes. So a unified solution can really make the curation management smooth. If the user will be able to manage the voting percentage of different staked tribes at a single place to a post, then not only it will save the time but also it will look more organized in terms of curation management.

It is quite a natural use-case that a post may be relevant to more than 2 or 3 or even 4 to 5 tags at the same time. So for a curator to curate such posts(from individual front-ends) is always going to be time-consuming and may not be easy for a curator every time. Therefore a unified curation solution is the need of the hour. This requirement will become even more profound as we go down the line with this emerging tribal culture in Steem ecosystem.

The proposed unified solution for curation management can be best understood from this illustration.

Some geeks or developer might already have conceived this idea. So they can really help this community with a unified solution for curation management. What I believe is that those who have staked tribes in the respective frontends can greatly benefit from this unified curation management. Going down the line it will further ease the job of curators and this community will look more attractive & organized.
