Sometimes investing in packs is a real downer

So I have used my rewards from my last two posts and the battles I have won and purchased some DEC so I could buy a pack of Splinterlands Untamed cards and the anticipation is always the fun bit until the dawning reality lands.

So I flipped my first card and it was a rare which I thought ok could be worse but then I remembered every pack has at least one rare and I hoped this wasn't it as the Truthspeaker is a bit of crappy card and only has a value of $0.09 So I would need at least another $1.91 to break even and I have used the first of my 2 potions I have available.

The second card really was no better, at least this card could do some damage but with only a value of $0.02 on the Goblin Fireball I was a little miffed and I still needed another $1.89 to break even.

The third card was another common and to be fair this could be a good card once levelled up but the Goblin Thief is only worth $0.05 and still leaves me needing $1.84 to break even.

The fourth card was probably the worst so far as I struggle to see where I would use this in a battle and the Tories fighter is only worth $0.03 and I need a miracle to break even now being short $1.81.

The last card was probably the best but far less than I had hoped for, this card is really useful and will be amazing when levelled up but the Sepertine Spy is only worth $0.09 and leaves me with a grand total of $0.28 of cards at market value and a whopping $1.72 in the negative on this pack.

Now I know prices will rise once the cards sell out and I will earn DEC from using these cards but it is a little disheartening to say the least, hopefully my next pack will be amazing as I try live in hope.
